This has been my go to place for years. It's food I can depend on tasting the same and always good. This was NOT the case on my... last visit. My H burger was horrible, over cooked, cheese only on half and the bun was dry and HARD! I love their buns, but thisone and my husband's was hard too. I even asked if they had changed their buns, I was told sometimes they sit under the hearertoo long. The root beer was wonderful and the service was good. I'm not sure I'll go back, their burgers are expensive and Iwon't pay that much for one that bad. Read more

This place has very delicious food. It is pricey, but it is delicious. Their onion rings are some of my favorite I have ever... had. Their burgers are great. Their root beer is unique and it's fun getting it in a cold mug and not even needing ice! Thefries were good and their fry sauce is my second favorite in the state. You can definitely tell that everything is made fresh, even though that means there is typically quite a wait. I was, however, pleasantly surprised how fast the service was thisvisit. Read more

I really like this restaurant and have fond memories growing up eating here. You can?t go wrong with the Hires Big H Ring Combo!... But this place has definitely gotten pricy for a hamburger over the years. Three combo meals and I was at $50! It would havebeen a 5 star rating but I just can?t get over how expensive it has become. So this review is going to be a little different. First, there is A LOT of good about this place, but the prices are just too... high for what they offer. This was our first time here because we had won a $50 giftcard. We had three adults and four kids andthought that a $50 giftcard would take care of most of the bill at a burger joint. But that was not the case. The staff issuper friendly, and the food is really good. I ate the Big H Onion Combo with their Root Beer and finished it off with a SaltedCaramel shake. All good food. But here is the thing, we were very strategic about which food we ordered, sharing food, etc, andthe bill for us was still $100! I'm sorry, but there are plenty of burger joints that offer just as good food and do not charge$15 for a combo. So, while I think the staff is great, and the food tastes good, it is not worth what they charge. Read more

We came here on vacation after seeing a blogger post about Hires and we are do glad we did! We highly recommend the Grilled... Lemon Chicken Supreme, Grilled Reuben, Cranberry Oven Roasted Turkey Sandwich, the salad with beets, the onion rings with frysauce, and the big root beer float in a frosted mug! Being our first time, and not knowing what to order, the staff was so kindand helped describe items for us. We loved the food, and staff, so much that we came back again the next day before our triphome! Read more

Burgers are good and somewhat unique. Kind of pricey compared to other options. Combos run about $14. Get fries well done to... avoid being a little soggy. Garlic bread is good. Get it extra crispy. Homey friendly wait staff. They charged us for an extraorder of fries we didn't get. Watch the bill. Read more
