It's my first Japanese restaurant in Utah. I like bake roles Vegas. Not bad cocktail Dragon. Miso soup like for me was little... bit salty. I can compare only with Ukrainian Japanese restaurants. We celebrated my birthday at Friday evening. It was busyplace at that time, we ordered place for advance. It surprised me that that here in restaurants they use plastic cups, bowls. Read more

First time eating here and it was disappointing. I ordered the combo lunch box, and it was disappointing. It has BIG portions of... white rice and veggies, with 5 pieces of cold chicken. It’s suppose to be “chicken teriyaki” but it was very flavorless,no teriyaki sauce what so ever and it was cold. The spicy tuna roll was watery and milky. It wasn’t worth $15. Read more

We love coming here on special days! The sushi is so yummy. We love the dragon roll and the executive. We've had good service... three out of the four times we've been here. The place is usually popular and I believe the time we had issues with the servicethe place was understaffed during the pandemic and the server was struggling to work well with the kitchen and to attend to us. I am glad things are running smoothly again. Our server was delightful this time. It's a fun atmosphere and the fish is goodquality. Read more

This location has gotten better and better over the years. The manager is friendly and on his game! I think this manager... deserves a big round of applause! The food is always amazing and every server I’ve had has been great. It’s always clean andthe music is good. Tsunami is by far our favorite sushi place and we will continue to come back! Thanks for treating yourcustomers like they matter and always making sure our food is great quality! Read more

I wish I could give it a 2.5 stars. I've been here a few times, and will say that I've had better food/service at the downtown... location. The last time I went in (a few days ago) I was alone, and when asked if I had a reservation, I said no, and was toldto take a seat. Sat there for maybe 15-20min, until a different person finally asked if I was waiting on take out. When I saidno, I was asked to wait to be seated by someone else, and they immediately took me to a seat at the half empty sushi bar. PriorI was considering just leaving and going to Yings down the street. Food was average; consistent with past visits; I got salmonteriyaki with tempura shrimp (only came with 3 shrimp, heavy tempura.. lots of breading) and a spider roll. Pricing I feel ishigh, for smaller portions for less food than Yings. The decor is definitely nicer than yings ... but overall at this point Ihave no reason to go here again ????. Both are equal distance from my house, and I always have great service at Yings, with muchbetter value for my $$. Picture is 18.99 dinner (included miso soup) Read more

Last time I ate at Tsunami (different location) was years ago and I wasn't impressed with their food. Came back here the other... day with friends for a special occasion and I feel like there wasn't much improvement. I ordered Katsu which is ok but the ricethat came with it is a little bit hard or could be undercooked. The service and ambience is good but hopefully they will put aneffort to improve their food quality too. Read more

Tsunami is always one of my favorite date night haunts. Union heights is a great space with awesome service and chefs who know... exactly what they’re doing. The food at any tsunami location is consistently good, and it is especially so at this location. Ialways end up wanting to order more even when I’m completely full. Our server was very sweet and quick. We were seated maybetwo or three minutes after arrival as well. Just a well run and delicious restaurant. My favorite sushi in Utah hands down. Read more
