Alway looking for good BBQ. We were at Haunted Grounds Coffee in Midway and decided to try the Smokin Pig because it was... close. Everything was fantastic. We had the smoked wings, ribs, brisket, pulled pork sandwich, grilled cheese, Mac and cheeseand baked beans. Their 4 bbq sauces are great. Highly recommended!! Read more

After driving 5 hours into a 16 hour drive home..this was a out of the way place to stop that I can say priced fair, service was... at the evening hour when not so busy..fair..taste and quality good..being a North Carolina gal..(used to delicious vinegar basedbarbecue) was happy that the pork barbecue sandwich was good.. it needed maybe a bit more seasoning but that was the only"complaint "..prices were good, service fast, girl at checkout friendly..the coleslaw could had been chopped a bit more fine, and with more seasoning..but again..I'm used to Eastern NC barbecue, so it's just what I'm used to..what counts is it is a greatplace to stop, fast service and the cleanliness A+.. I'd highly recommend stopping in.. the food hit the spot and I'd go againif in the area..so check it out..it is off the beaten path so I'd recommend as I did myself..to Google the best barbecueplaces..thats how I came to find them..otherwise..enjoy*** Read more

A solid road side BBQ joint! We got 3 meals but dug into the other too fast to get a good pic. The pulled pork and ribs were... great! The brisket was tender and well cooked, but needed seasoning and the Mac and cheese was just ok. Next time I drivethrough town I will stop in again. Read more

Oh my God! This place is really a gem. With a bunch of fast foods on the side of the road, when you are traveling, it's hard to... find a place where you can just eat some good food. Home made, cooked. A place every traveler deserves. When we walked in, oneof the guests said, "everything is good here", and I believe it now. The menu is simple enough, the food is amazing, sides arewaaay better then they look. don't let the looks fool you. The staff was very friendly, and the lady at the counter wasextremely pleasant, and cheerful, I loved it. Proper southerner welcome. Thank you! Read more

The wife and i stopped here for lunch. Neat little place. Liked the atmosphere and the restaurant was very clean. Didn?t like... that you order in line like fast food instead of being seated and waited on. Food was ok. The chicken was absolutely deliciouswhich is the only reason I?m scoring this 2 stars. However, the cole slaw was a scoop of cabbage (not near enough dressing) anddidn?t have a good taste. The pulled pork was kinda cold and bland. The Brunswick stew was as my wife described tasting like,?sweet vegetable soup? ??????????? the brisket was bland also. Spent $35 bucks on lunch. Small portion sizes. Place is wayoverpriced in my opinion for just a neat atmosphere and mediocre food. Staff was polite. Read more

We drive to Florida twice a winter and always look for good BBQ along our trip. We have a few BBQ places we like to stop at... depending on the time we pass them. Smokin Pig is one of our favorite places for a BBQ sandwich. We have been to both locationsand we like this one a little better because it?s a cool looking building. Previous Review: Excellent BBQ. The baked beans andcoleslaw are homemade and a delicious additions to a BBQ sandwich. Good service with a decent size dining area. Covenant offRoute 95 if traveling. Looking forward to eating there again. Read more
