Scuba diving in the crater. Room was remodeled. Had a fridge and coffe maker with no plug....called the front desk. ... Maintained took care of it immediately. Clearly the first people to stay in the newly remodeled room. Nice showers. Staffwas great. Breakfast at the restaurant off the lobby was fantastic. Still the place is going through remodeling with somerooms upgraded and many rooms being remodeled. Nice experience. Read more
The hotel room was beautiful! I literally gasped when I walked in and was so delighted with every detail! The outdoor... decorations were so charming! There were pumpkins and fall flowers, cornucopias, straw bales, and even a pumpkin wall.Definitely many photo op locations! It felt like we were in a Hallmark movie! The staff was so friendly, pleasant, and wentabove and beyond to be helpful to us. They were so accommodating to all our needs and wants. Read more
Make sure to use H?????o???.??m when booking any stay. This website will compare countless booking websites and normally will... have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here fora very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't be let down. We had a family reunion at the Homestead. Westayed in renovated rooms, which were wonderful. The event planning team was accommodating and helpful. And the staff onproperty outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend having a reunion or just a vacation here. Read more
Attended a conference here. It was a great experience between the delicious catering and the phenomenal views. The room was... beautifully designed and included a private balcony with comfortable seating. Will be returning for a weekend getaway soon.Would recommend 10/10. Read more
We had a family reunion at the Homestead. We stayed in renovated rooms, which were wonderful. The event planning team was... accommodating and helpful. And the staff on property outstanding. I wish I had read the reviews before I booked. I saw the 4.5 stars and looked at the pictures. There was only a bar menu... available on a Sunday of nuts or salad. No food a available on Monday. We had to door dash.the place is under construction, theroads horrible. The large pool hasn't seen use in over a year. The Jacuzzis are empty, the Sauna out of order. Then our roomtook multiple times to get a key card to open the door, the plumbing was slow toilet was not flushing. Our Door had been whatlooked like kicked in. So no food and no resort like setting of activities. Worst experience ever. 530.00 2 nights. The cratorwas great, however the resort does not have anything to do with it. I really wanted to like the Homestead Resort, and I would give 4 stars if we'd had any other room (#207, April 2022), but they... failed on a basic service for us. Our hot water wasn't working, in the shower or in the sink. The hot water was slightly warmerthan running straight cold water. I'm guessing the water heater hadn't been turned up after the room was remodeled. I discoveredthis after getting in the shower, and had a very cold shower as a result, which left me chilled for the rest of the evening.After my shower, on our way to dinner, I reported the problem to the front desk. The staff member said she would sendmaintenance to our room immediately. When we came back 3 1/2 hours later, ready to go right to bed, the water was still cold.When we checked out the next day, still cold. No one followed up with us on the issue. The remodeled accommodations are lovely,the beds and linens VERY comfortable. The high-back chair in our room was not comfortable for sitting in with a laptop, and itwould have been nice to have a desk. Overall, coming for a relaxing weekend and then having my core temperature drop in a coldshower ruined the stay for me. Read more
Horrible stay and definitely not worth the money! I guess they were remodeling but waited at the front desk for 20 minutes for... someone to help us. For the money our room was terrible. Run down, holes in the ceiling. Felt like I was staying in a hotelin the 1980's. Check out is 11 I believe and we decided to sleep in but house keeping was knocking on our door at 8:15 am. Then they came again at 9:40 am. My goodness they were that eager to clean our room. Trying to get breakfast and service atthe restaurant in the morning was slow and it was like they didn't even want us there. Horrible stay and would never stay thereagain. Rooms should be priced at $99, that's really what type of service / room we received. Read more
