We had Filet Wellington for our anniversary dinner. It was excellent! Our server was very friendly and efficient. The timing of... appetizers and entree were correct. All together a great experience. The broccoli was frozen solid on the hummus plate. The former reviewer who said you can?t find the dip on the plate was correct!... There was one tablespoon of hummus and the rest was a veggie mash up. The plate presentation was terrible. It was dumped into abowl and smeared along the sides of the bowl. Great quality & decent selection. Tends to be on the saltier side, which is not my preference. However, we came back for the... calamari & desserts! On first glance, it looked great. The decor was fun. The food was delicious and the service at the table was great. That said,... we showed up with a reservation and waited while we could clearly see the dining area was only about 1/4 full. Each group whoarrived, with our without a reservation, was made to wait 5 to 10 minutes for a mostly empty restaurant. By the time we werefinished the dining room was 3/4 full... So they weren't holding tables because of covid or being short handed. They were justmaking everyone wait. Once we sat down at the table, as you can see in the picture, the window sill was filled with dead fliesand bugs. This was one corner of the window, the other side looked the same. This is unacceptable anywhere, but especially inthis 'resort dining' restaurant. I honestly cannot believe something like this was overlooked. Excellent service, very friendly, accommodating & communicated immediately every & any situation that could possibly cause... concern (Example: a large boisterous group seated in the center of the large dining room. No problem but if guestswanted/expected a quiet dinner at that time, it was a wise heads up). Dinner was delicious. To start, the dinner rolls smellcrazy good, are generously large, tasty & light yet satisfying. The salmon was perfect & the pork serving was large & hadseasoning/ garnishes piled on top. Sweet potato fries will disappoint after these - they are Heavenly - crisp on the outside,light & fluffy on the inside. The chocolate torte with chocolate ganache is an excellent choice for chocolate lovers but sincedinner was so filling, we took it home to enjoy again later. Highly recommend Read more
My mom and I went out for a mother-daughter dinner here last night, and this was our first time trying Z's Steak and Chop Haus.... We made a reservation and it was super easy and the hostess was so kind when we checked in. Our server, Cheyenne, was efficient,friendly, and knowledgeable. We shared a half wedge salad which was so good! And I had a glass of the Cab and ordered the filetwith the brussels and mashed potatoes. I asked for blue cheese on my steak and they happily obliged.
