This was the second time I have been here with my family. Both times the Food, Service and Atmosphere was Great. Good portions... of food ( the biscuits are huge) and also tastes Good. I'm not sure if we just arrived during a busy time with hardly any servers, but our service was EXTREMELY slow. We arrived at... 8:45am on a Saturday morning. I don't normally like to leave 3 stars, but our service was super slow. We had to wait longer than15 mins for coffee refills, and once we finally placed our order, it took 40 minutes for it to reach the table. Our serverseemed to be handling one entire room of about 8 tables by herself. The food was really good once it arrived, just wasn'texpecting to spend over 2 hours to eat. Read more

Update : They contacted me and I'm happy with our conversation on these issues. Our waitress Tina was good. They didn?t chase... us out of the restaurant. I took off 2 stars because 1. They didn?t give me my detailed receipt 2. When I paid for my items,I selected a lower tip but when I got home and checked the credit card slip, the tip was higher 3. My server was Tina, but onthe slip, it said Frank, which makes me wonder if I paid my bill or someone else?s AND if Tina got my tip?. Or did Frank get mytip 4. Pros: 1. Friendly staff / host and waitress 2. Wait time wasn't too long for a Sunday noon (17 minutes) 3. Received drinks... within 5 minutes of sitting down 4. Good about refills. Waitress, miss Yasmeen, stayed on top of it. 5. Order placed quicklyand given time to look at menu 6. Inside themed well. Sets a nice mood/tone. 7. No loud music 8. Well stocked condiments 9.Order accurate to order 10. Wait time for food was typical for sit down restaurant 11. Use of phone notifications for knowingwhen seating is available for party 12. Vegetarian options for burgers Cons: 1. Floor was a bit dirty with some trash on it 2.Waiting area to get seated is small for the amount of people that wait 3. Parking lot somewhat small for busyness oflocation Summary: I plan to return to the location sometime! I'd definitely recommend it based on this experience I had. The only reason this is getting two stars is because the lady who handed me my food was nice. The sandwich is supposed to have... grilled onions, they were raw and the burger patty was burned too badly to eat. The picture of the pot roast is covered I gravyand I got a little tiny bit over the top. I feel like I could see an effort and maybe they were having a busy night but Iwouldn't ever let food leave my establishment like that. This was a return visit to the diner, we first dined there this time last year. When we were planning our trip we knew we wanted... to come back and we were not disappointed. We were immediately seated and given our beverages and within moments our server "Q"greated us and took our order. She was cheerful and shared that she has just received a promotion and after our service weunderstood why, she was professional and the food was served promptly. I had a hamburger salad and my husband the turkey meal,everything was delicious and fresh. We highly recommend Black Bear and look forward to returning again next year! Read more

This was my first time here. I got the fried chicken dinner. It came with a side salad and cornbread. I liked the salad and the... cornbread was the bomb! I didn?t care for the chicken, there was no meat on it mostly just bone. The mashed potatoes were toosweet like too much milk was added. The veggies were good. I will probably visit this place again but I?ll order the taco saladnext time because I was debating between the two. Read more
