Fast service, high prices, way to much fat in the brisket we got I paid $50.00 for 3 lbs of BBQ brisket out of which 8 ounces... was pure fat. I wasn't real happy. But this only happened once the next time I ordered, I mentioned about the fatty pan and thenew one I ordered was nice and lean. I had visited Smokin? Hot BBQ several times over the years whenever I visited a friend in the Jackson area. The food was always... amazing. Well, I don?t know what happened, but the food has gone downhill quite a bit. There used to be a good smoke on themeat, well I had the pork yesterday and it was dry and didn?t have a lot of flavor. The more spicy sauce didn?t add much heator flavor, but at least made eating the dry pork a little easier. The coleslaw was actually a bit better, decent but nothing Iwould say, oh, that was good. And the potato salad was ok but definitely needed something. The best thing about the food wasthe cost. Very reasonable and I guess what you?d expect to pay for average food. The service was ok, but not great, and theserver didn?t even ask if we wanted dessert. We actually would have tried the chess pie if she had asked. But overall thatthe food went from a 5 and was now just average. If you?re looking for fantastic BBQ, this isn?t it. If you?re looking forsome average, low cost food, I guess you found your place. I had the BBQ Chicken w loaded baked potato. It was awesome. Went in at 1pm so the main lunch was over but they were still... very busy. Our waitress was great. 5 stars. Happy every time I go so I should go more often. Read more
Every time I come to town, this is a must have for me. The pulled pork with bbq beans and creamy coleslaw is my absolute... favorite but I haven't tried anything I didn't like. The onion rings are some of the best I've had. Friendly service but thestaff is running like crazy most of the time to feed everyone quickly and man the drive thru. Taste and texture was good. The price wasn't even bad if I had gotten what I was expecting, But we got to talk about the portion... size. It suppose to be a (Hamburger steak). I was expecting a normal size 8 to 10 oz.. like most restaurants. Not here. It wasaround 5 oz. Very disappointed. It was smaller than the onion rings that was on top of it. May I add they were not cooked norsteamed. I removed them before the picture. Green beans and toast were spot on. That was about 1 whole can of 60 cent beansand a 10 cent piece of bread. Well worth the 30 minute drive to Milan! Small little place with a dining bar along the kitchen line and about 6 tables. ... Better than average cleanliness in dining area. Lots of cooks in the kitchen. Food was fast and delicious! Had the pulledpork sandwich with coleslaw and sides of seasoned fries and baked beans. Excellent BBQ! Lean tender pork melts in your mouth. The mushroom & Swiss burger is my go-to meal here! So tasty!! Great sit-down BBQ joint or take it to-go through the drive thru.
