This restaurant caters to all your needs. It is a farm to table dining experience. It offers vegetarian, gluten free, and... allergy sensitivity diets. A unique atmosphere with farm decor accents. The food was delicious, service was great and everyonewas very friendly. Highly recommend the brunch on Sunday, since the food items are exceptional. The Palate (patio) has always been our favorite summer downtown Milford spot. The atmosphere was welcoming, the umbrellas added... a pop of color, and it was a welcoming feel. Tonight was our first time with the new patio layout. The bar stools are WAY toolow for the bar. My husband is over 6’ and even he had to reach up to eat. It feels like you’re sitting against a tall wall.If seated on the first bar you are seated with your back to the ‘room’ and looking out at the broken cement next to thebuilding. Brown bar, brown stools, and brown pergola make it feel stark and de-energized. It’s truly a testament to howenvironment matters. The fact you sit so low is a total distraction. First time here and the 30 minutes drive was well worth it. Greeted by owner at the door and felt right at home as he explained... the process of how they source and make the meals. The wait staff was super attentive and provided impeccable recommendationsbased upon our conversation. If you don't live in the Milford area it's with the drive. 4.5 stars One of my favorite places in Milford. Really good cocktails. Good wines. Good food. Great atmosphere. Staff is very... friendly and helpful. Everyone is really nice and the prices are really fair, esp for the quality. Love that I can make onlinereservations too! Only negative is that it can be slow due to staffing issues and being busy, but for me the quality is worth alittle extra patience. Read more
Looking for delicious cocktails made with fresh ingredients, and quality food? You are in luck, this is the spot! We just moved... from NYC back to Michigan a year ago, and recently purchased a home in Commerce. While looking for a nice cocktail bar westumbled upon the town of Milford and Palate. This is not a spot you will get huge portions of anything, its higher quality, soif you want that go to friggin Apple Bee's. 1. Service - 4/5 : The bar tenders, owner and staff are all very welcoming and helpyou decide on what fits your taste. Would be 5/5 but sometimes they are a little short staffed with the amount of people. Bepatient and dont be a Karen/Brad. 2. Food - 4/5 : The food fits perfect for the type of business (cocktail bar). Its enough tokeep your hanger at bay, but also pairing well with their wine and drinks! Once again this isnt Apple Bee's you arent going toget a bucket full of food to take home. 3. Drinks- 4/5: My fiancé and I love drinks that are not too sweet, nor to sour. Theyhave a great mix of fine cocktails and wine that meet our high standards coming from the bigger cities. You would be paying20.00 a cocktail in NYC, so the 12-15 here is a steal! Be wary, they are delicious but also strong :D 4. Atmosphere 5/5 - Ilove the entire vibe of Palate, it has an absolutely HUGE bar, but also its sheik and loud enough to where you feel like you'reout having fun, but more of higher end. Glad to see they've reopened. It's a completely new design and menu. I'm sad to see the Whitefish is gone but everything was... fantastic. We had the venison carpaccio, bacon wrapped dates, beet & goat cheese salad, and burger. My drink, Butterfly Wings (Ithink wings... definitely butterfly something) was nice, dry, crisp and refreshing. I love that they have a fun selection of ryewhiskeys as well. Our server was knowledgeable about all the drinks and food items. Very impressive. Their new patio bar will bean interesting addition. Read more
Haven't sat in the new outdoor dining until this visit. Loved the ambiance! Food and drinks were incredible. You can definitely... tell the quality of the beef in the burgers. Delicious. Calamari cooked to perfection. Staff was amazing as usual. Thanks foranother great night! Read more
