One of my favorite restaurants in the area. We?ve been coming to Waterwheel for over 6 years now; whenever we are in the area.... Never disappointed. The service - always quick and efficient. The staff - kind and knowledgeable. The food is always delicious;whether it?s brunch, lunch, or dinner. Their desserts are always amazing as well. Been coming here for years. The food is beyond delicious and really has earned its five stars. I love the atmosphere and the... sales staff are so friendly. There is a small section for little grocery items mainly gifts. They also have a large pastriesselection to choose from. Worth the drive, it?s a clean, neat place with a small waterwheel you can see when seated in therestaurant and I think they also have a mini tour of the waterwheel history. Read more
Good coffee paired with a great bakery. Excellent outdoor atmosphere. Interesting American/Vietnamese concept in a neat... historical setting. Very friendly and welcoming. The lemon lavender muffin and raspberry cheese croissant were exceptional. Read more
Hosted my daughter's baby shower at The Waterwheel Cafe. Cozy, rustic environment with great service and delicious food. Nancie... and her team created a fabulous brunch which included gluten free options. Her attention to detail with the presentation of foodwas impeccable. Darren was so accommodating for any needs we had and the waitresses were amazing!! Would definitely book my nextevent here and plan to have brunch in the cafe more often. Read more
Really cool, rustic, historical spot with excellent food (and beautiful bakery desserts!) and service. We were visiting from out... of state and relatives treated us to dinner. Our party of 8 was seated quickly on a Saturday night and our friendly waiterdidn't miss a thing. What a gem in Milford! We look forward to coming back. Read more
Went here for lunch with ny friend and was a lovely time. Great service, friendly & attentive staff and delicious food. We got... the Vietnamese noodle bowl with tofu and the chicken caesar salad. Both were very good. Can't wait to go back. Read more
Went for breakfast. It was so good, we went back for dinner. All I can say is "PERFECT"! From the service right down to the... food...it was a piece of heaven on earth! 1st, the breakfast was DELISH!! Didn't take any pics of breakfast because we werestarving and didn't think it was going to be as good as it was. And to top it off, we had tequila sunrise with it and it wasDELISH! They were not cheap with the liquor nor the quality! AND dare I say the price was perfect!! Went back for lunch aftersightseeing and we couldn't have made a better choice! The food was divine! I think God, himself made my steak! SERIOUSLY ????!I ordered my steak well done. Wanted to see how it would turn out...well, the well done steak was as moist as a petal with dew.The flavor was something you'd expect from an upscale $100 steak! I mean...this place is a true GEM! Our waiter, well, he servedus for breakfast and lunch (can't remember his name) but this guy was THE BEST! Talk about fast, efficient, gave everything weneeded or requested with a happy tone and a smile. Kept us updated and checked on us periodically (just the right amount. Idespise when noone checks or if they check too much to where we're trying to answer with food in our mouths). He didn't rush usnor gave us a check without asking if we wanted a dessert from their divine menu along with coffee or a drink. This place reallyos heaven! I swear, the locals have ot good with this place in their backyard! If anyone is in the Milford area, PLEASE PLEASEPLEASE give this place a visit. We had the pleasure of dining here while in town. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were all very friendly and... attentive. We enjoyed the salmon special and the vegan curry. Both ordered a local cider which was also fantastic. We alsoenjoyed a breakfast and lunch on separate occasions both of which were good as well. For lunch I definitely recommend the vegantofu wrap (spicy)?so good! There is an old functioning waterwheel that the restaurant is built around. Very cool piece ofhistory. They also sell baked goods and T-shirt?s. If planning a dinner visit reservations are recommended as they fill upquickly. Thank you! Read more
