We absolutely had a fun time at The Shack today, thanks to our bartender McKenna. This is a rare spot with pinball (Wizard of Oz... even!), decent prices on Sauv Blanc AND yummy fish and chips. This was a solid order since the curly fries do come with 3 largepieces of battered, tender fishy fingers and tartar sauce - all at under $13. Everyone was having the best time ever, and youcould tell it was neighborhood folk. Random convos, people buying drinks for each other, jokes all around, folks on first datesand general celebrations. I have passed this place quite a few times and it always seemed very busy (in a good way), and my wife said I n multiple... occasions we should go and check it out. Tonight was our first and and only visit. It was very underwhelming and disappointing.First and foremost, there was hardly anyone in there and it seemed like a task to just get us seated. Once we got seated, ourserver was very nice, but the soda machine was terrible as my drink was lukewarm and flat. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries(which is extra), I can?t think of any spot I have been to in which a side doesn?t come with your entrée. Those fries that areextra were terrible. They were cold and soggy. My burger was just okay. Overall I would not recommend this place and suggest onedoesn?t waste their time going here. Really great bar/restaurant with really relaxed vibe. Well worn island atmosphere with some plates that will put you into a... proper food coma. Waitress was so sweet! Missing some items on the menu due to supply issues (understandable) so I guess we'llhave to come back! Read more
Overall really good experience here! My wife wanted wings and I wanted burgers and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant was... clean and had a great atmosphere.. And the serving staff was friendly and attentive. I got the Bacon Blues burger and my wifegot the Ruben burger and for appetizers we got Teriyaki wings and jalapeno poppers. everything was great, we'll be back! Read more
Overall an ok meal. Service was good and friendly, especially our server Eli, he was great! Good atmosphere. Tables were a bit... sticky, and the Piña Colada had a whisper of alcohol , but the Scooby Snack shot was delicious! Their shack burger was prettymid, and the patty melt was ok as well, they forgot to put bacon on it like we requested. We didn?t have any problem with any ofthe food, it was all just average, nothing spectacular. Great bar atmosphere if your looking for that, standard food though. Iprobably will not be coming back. AMAZING. we got burger & a chicken sandwich hawaii style and LOVED it. also debated on the fires and ended up getting them? so... glad. they?re curly and delicious. server was so nice. seat yourself. sorry for the ugly food photo but it was yummy haha Read more
Ordered a chili cheese dog with onions & this is what I got. Not sure if there menu is incorrect on google, but I won?t be going... back. Also got some fries that tasted like they?d been sitting on the warmer counter for at least 5 minutes Read more
Wonderful pub with a huge menu and fantastic, fast, friendly service! All your favorites are covered - wings, sandwiches,... burgers, salads, fish, steaks and deserts! Try the pu pu platter so you can save several items. I had the wings, ribs, andchili over rice and my friend had their sliders cooked to perfection. This will be my go to place for lunch or dinner when I'min the area. Everything was reasonably priced as well. I'm looking forward to trying a few more items on the menu and having afew adult beverages. Their bar area if fairly large and amply stocked. Read more
