I used to live in Miami so I had plenty of Latin-American food available. It seems that there's only Mexican restaurants around... this area. Thank God for Conosur! They have legit Hispanic food not a fusion like everybody wants to do around here. Theircooks are Latino and the food is amazing! This is my place to go when I want to eat real Hispanic food. The food here is excellent! I got the butifarra sandwich with fries and my husband got the chacarero sandwich with sweet potato... fries! The flavors were perfect and the bread is amazing! We both highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area! Itwon’t disappoint! Read more
We had a delicious meal of Pork Havana (top) and Lomo Saltado this evening. Great dishes, good service, delicious local lager... and pilsner. Highly recommend. This is a gem in the little town of Mills River! Read more
Am I the only Peruvian that always looks for Peruvian food when they’re away from home? Anyway, my hubby found this spot and I... was intrigued that they offered a Butifarra so we went. Got there about 30 minutes before closing but they were super welcomingand we got our food really quick. My husband got the Lomo Saltado (he gets this at EVERY Peruvian restaurant we go to - I thinkit’s how he rates whether or not the place is any good) and I got the Butifarra sandwich! My sandwich was so delicious, justthe right mix of mayo, onion, & roast pork and the roll was really fresh and perfectly toasted. However, the Lomo Saltado wasthe true star, the beef and vegetables were seasoned authentically and it was a generous portion. If you like Peruvian fare,Conosur won’t disappoint. Their menu was very varied and I wager there’s something for even the pickiest eater. Oh yeah, Ialmost forgot: they serve Inka Kola and Chicha Morada ???? Read more
Was great food but service could have been better. Paella was very tasty, yucca was bland. No ice for drinks. Restaurant was... also warm. Will go back for food but may just use take out. Read more
SNAPSHOT = Brilliant concept and great execution.. Thoughtful and inspired fusions of flavor make Consur unique. Tasty dishes on... a wide and balanced menu. Details below... Wow! What a concept. The mix of flavors is brilliant! Love that the dishes are nothaphazard fusions but very thoughtful combinations. Binders have photos of all the dishes giving guest good idea of what toexpect. First visit and the food was great. I had the shrimp fried rice with Peruvian spices. Phenomenal dish! Flavors weredistinctive but not so bold as to unbalance the dish. Finally found great fried rice! My daughter had the Cubano. Excellent. Fusion gives it a flare that made this tasty sandwich quite memorable. Will update review with each visit. Cannot wait toreturn! This place tries very hard to cater to people who aren’t familiar with this kind of food, to the point that they have a binder... that shows pictures of the items and a description as well. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming and the owner is reallyfriendly and communicative. They also have a dog-friendly patio. I hope this business flourishes since it’s a rare gem for thearea.
