After 12 hours, on a very hot baseball field, we had a group of 13 New Yorkers who couldn?t find anywhere to eat because... everything was closed! We googled places and found this diner. I called to make sure they were open, tue gentleman in the phonesaid yes, they would seat people till around 9:45. So, we went. I walked in and said we would be 13 -15 people.. he was veryhappy to seat us! Our waitress was a little overwhelmed at first, but quickly realized we just wanted to eat and relax aftersweating to death at the field all day! We had a wonderful dinner w wine and beer, food was great, they accommodated everythingwe asked for and our waitress was great with the 7- 14 old boys we had w us! Was there about 7pm on 7/1. Ordered scallops home fries and apple sauce. Waited forever for my meal. The table in front of... ordered after me and got there food and left before I got mine. The scallops were great but the home fries were cold when theyhit the table. Waitress never came back. I just took them home. Never was asked how things were. I will go elsewhere. Read more
We really enjoyed our time dining there. It was a lovely and peaceful atmosphere. The quality of food was EXCELLENT and... DELICIOUS. The quantity of it was PLENTIFUL ~ VERY PLENTIFUL!!! In fact, we had to take a good bit home. Thank you, Long NeckDiner! The usual 'chain store/restaurant' can't hold a candle to the quality of taste ~ especially to the fries {oh mygoodness, were they delicious}!!! NO WAY! They were awesome ~ even eating them today ~ the day AFTER we visited The Diner. Theywere still good. I wish I could have those every other day. [Daily would just make me too fat]! Our waitress, Karen, was alsogreat. When I mentioned I THOUGHT THAT I had made an error ordering salad dressing, she went back in her tablet to look andADMITTED that SHE had grabbed the wrong dressing. How many servers do that anymore? She COULD have told me that I'd made theerror and I would have believed her. She didn't do that. I'm quite pleased with, and proud of her ~ and I have never before seenher! This was our very first visit to that Diner. It will NOT, HOWEVER be our last! THE ONE AND ONLY REASON I gave it four (4)???? stars, rather than five (5) ???? is because the floor was dirty. I didn't care much for that, but that is the ONE AND ONLYREASON for my four stars rather than five. The carpet appeared clean, but the floor under our table was dirty. I almost askedthe waitress if we could have another booth when she seated us, but I didn't. I didn't want to be rude or appear too picky. the food was good! i ordered the chicken and dumplings with chicken noodle soup. and my dad ordered a cheesestake with chili and... chicken noodle soup. everything tasted fine except the service took a bit. when we ordered our soups we didn?t get them untilaround 15 min later and the noodles were a little over cooked but you can?t really blame them since they have been sitting inthe broth all day cooking nonstop. we also ordered a slice of red velvet cake that was pretty average. we would come again totry the breakfast buffet. Rough experience. Server Tammy was great 5 stars for her! The food was ok. How hard is making eggs and bacon, yet it took an... hour from the time we ordered to the time we got the food and they burned the biscuits and toast...????. I will give themanother try at a different time but I guess the tourist rush slowed them down. Read more
Stayed in a hotel nearby for a few days. Came to this diner both mornings we were here. Amazing service from Carrie and my... broccoli cheddar and bacon omelette was amazing. I was pretty surprised with how big and nice it was inside. I loved the atmosphere. There were lots of options and everything... was reasonably priced. Our waitress was nice. We were there on our lunch break so there wasn't too much interaction but she wasgood all the same. I had the garden salad with chicken. It was great and had lots of leftovers Read more
