Good Food, Hidden Charges (forced). We stopped over for dinner on recommendation from family friend. Food was good, my issue is... with hidden "service charge of 18%" Normally our tip ranges between 10-20%. This meal deserved 10% because they got rice afterwe finished eating. Completely understandable when service charge is applied to larger groups 6-8+. Forcing service charge on 4+groups pretty much means majority of you customers. Instead of sneaking in your charges, be honest and raise and your prices. Read more
You won't be disappointed. The laska was similar to the one I tasted in Singapore. They have great vegetarian and vegan options... here. The rice rolls we got as appetizers were so refreshing. It's usually busy during lunch. So factor in some wait time whengoing. Read more
Pros: Food was really good. We ordered multiple dishes and decided to share, and also got some entrees for folks who were... hungrier. All was very good, but we ended up ordering too much. Cons: They have an outdoor area under a tent. When the sun goesdown, there are no lights and it gets weirdly dark. Separately, the waitress came to offer desert wine 'on the house'. Weaccepted (12 of us) and after a minute, came back and said that the offer was a mistake and it would not be complimentary - LOL- it felt SO wrong! Read more
One of the best dining places when in the bay area. They have a menu of delicious south asian cuisines. The place has a good... parking place but yes this area is very popular and busy so based on time one needs to consider waiting time too for parking. Read more

We were a group of nine people who reserved a table ahead of time. Since it was a big crowd we shared our food. We ordered... appetizers, drinks, main course and dessert. A couple of people ordered separately as take out for their home. The service wasgood and we were meeting after a long time hence, didn't pay much attention to anything but went with the flow. It was not evenclosing time but the waitress came and told us the kitchen is going to close and so the moment we heard this we rushed to ordermore as some of them were strict vegetarians. But we realized the kitchen was not closing that soon. Anyway, when it came topaying the bill, it was decided the take out items will be paid by the individuals. We asked for the bill and saw that our billincluded the service charge and then for take out there was a service charge included too. This seemed very strange as fortakeout how can you ask for a service charge? Our friend asked the waitress, to which she responded- when you come in a groupand ask for takeout, it's a lot of work for us to fill in a box hence the service charge. This reason didn't seem reasonablehence my friend asked for the manager. The manager came and was already in an apologetic mode. My friend explained the situationand the manager without asking anything further did a refund for all the takeout items and apologized on behalf of his staff.The other thing, I had ordered a cocktail and I didn't want that to be included in the group bill. Hence ahead of time Irequested the waitress to not include the price for cocktail in the main bill and I will pay it separately. She agreed and gotmy cocktail bill. Later while we were checking our main bill to make sure we were paying for what we ordered, to our surprise,the waitress added the cocktail bill in the main bill as well as she gave a separate bill to me which I had requested. Good place serving decent Malaysian food. Make sure you reserve your table ahead of time, otherwise you will end up waiting for... at least an hour to get a table. We went here to try out their food but the place was extremely packed so had to wait for aboutan hour to get the table. The food was good and the service was really quick. The veggie Indian mee goreng was the best, Irecommend you try it. Roti telur was okayish and fresh hand rolls were good. Their pineapple fried rice is just amazing, don’tmiss out on trying that out. Amazing taste and that justifies why it is difficult to get a table here. Quick service so you don’t stay hungry any... longer. My favorite was black pepper chicken. It was just amazing with eggplant and beans. Curry that came with Roti Prata wasmouth watering. Only downside was to pay extra $ for a tiny side of peanut sauce. I will expect that to be complimentary at thislevel of menu pricing. Read more
