I can't believe it took me so long to try Daeho :/ Lived my whole life in the bay area, and never had it until recently. It's so... good!!! I had friends try out the SF location and I've walked by before but there's always a huge line. This time around, Istopped by the Milpitas location, just a little bit after they opened on Sunday morning. There were only 1-2 other partiesinside. For the 3 of us, we ordered 1 braised short rib, spicy level 1, extra cheese (need to pay for it). The kalbijim alreadycomes with some veggies and rice cakes, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to add some more rice cakes!!! You have the option toorder the one with more meat. For the 3 of us, regular was just perfect. If you're hungrier, definitely add more meat! 2 purplerice also come with the meal. We were early morning degens, so we also ordered 2 bottles of cass ($8/ea) for the meal :D Themeat was so tender and flavorful. Rice cake was so good! The sauce was amazing. It definitely could have used even more cheesehaha. Our server Frank was attentive and courteous and helped out with side dishes and any other requests. Parking in theplaza, easy to find. I came here for lunch recently. The restaurant has a nice decor with information about Kalbijim. In terms of food, I tried their... Kalbijim with Extra Meat, at Mild Spicy level, with Rice Cake and Purple Rice. Everything was really good - nicelybraised/cooked kalbi, good rice cake, and assortment of vegetables. Although it was the mild spicy level, it was equivalent tomedium at some other places. Overall, it was definitely a good dish to try. Read more

the crowd was crazy, the queue was long, but the food and service were exceptional. we had mixed beef soup and veggie bibimbap.... both were amazing and our son already wanted to go there again. i guess we will be back again soon. Read more

Must-try: Doh Gal Jjim (Braised Beef Rib with Ox Cartilage/Tendon) Recommendation: Kalbi Tang (Beef Rib Soup) ??? Top Korean... restaurant and my favourite restaurant in San Jose. The dishes are super delicious and I love them so much. I love tendon so weordered Dog Gal Jjim. The spicy level was mild and it was not spicy. If you order the cheese add-in, they will use a cookingtorch to heat the cheese on top of the meat in front of you. They provide white/purple rice. I always choose the purple oneLOL Note that the waiting time is considerable long. We waited about 1.5 hours and finally get seated. The Kalbi Tang is amazingly tasty and refreshing, truly made with beef bone stock and filtered so it tastes clean and light, yet... full of flavors. As for the Kalbi jjim. The sauce is great, not too sweet. The rice cake and root vegetables are slightlyovercooked while the Kalbi is a bit dry. Read more

The service was not that great as they do not do their due diligence on making sure if the customer is waiting outside. I was... behind the pillar outside waiting with a bunch of others, but didn't bother to call my name. The food is absolutely deliciousand worth visiting a second time. Specialty restaurant, not very large, but we'll ventilated and clean. Came on a Monday night and had to wait an hour (holiday... season). Not sure if truly authentic, but everything was delicious, even the appetizers tasted fresh and flavorful. The oxtail and ribs covered with cheese was excellent as expected.
