Wonderful dim sum - yam cha - in a crowded but comfortable setting. Authentic, fresh, and more subtly flavored than dim sum I?ve... had most places. Better here than what I?ve had in San Francisco, Sydney, or Wellington. Rivals my Guangzhou dim sumexperiences! Read more

Each bite ???? was tantalizing. We ordered couple of dishes -see uploaded pictures - and all of them were unique in taste and... fragrance. Served freshly cooked and some of them steamy hot. The Shrimp Dumplings, the Crispy Tofu with Garlic and the CoconutPumkin Ball were superb ???? tasty. Luckily we didn't had to wait long for sitting, may be you are also lucky. Read more

Location in a small strip mall type place up on second floor. We were greeted and seated quickly. We got hot jasmine tea to... drink so I did not ask for a drink menu. ** Make sure to let the tea seep for a few minutes before pouring!** I am not sure ifthey have one but it looks like they have a full bar in the corner so would not hurt to ask! We were looking for dim sum butthey had just a few dim sum plates in the appetizer section so we got an entree to share as well. We were given somecomplimentary peanuts to start that had some kind of sauce on them, they were very tasty! We got traditional ?juicy? dumplings Ibelieve they were called. Which was steamed pork dumplings, lots of flavor! I did not care for dipping sauce, was a bit too sourfor me but they were great on their own. Cucumber salad and BBQ pork buns were good as well. We ordered Tofu and Eggplant ingarlic sauce. It was good but a bit on the sweet side, I?d prefer it if it were a spicy sauce but that?s just my preference.Tofu and eggplant were cooked perfectly and the flavor was still very pleasant. We were full and didn?t order dessert howeverthey brought us a complimentary filled dumpling dessert and it was my favorite part of the meal! Tasted like a vanilla custardfilling and was so good but did not see it on the dessert menu! Could have ate a handful more of those! 18% gratuity is alwaysincluded! Which was fine for me in this case for good service and food. With the gratuity we paid $30 each. A bit pricey but wehad leftovers and with everything being as good as it was, it is worth in my opinion. Would recommend! Read more

This is the best dim sum I have found after exploring across DC, NYC, Boston, Chicago and London. The pineapple custard bun... caught my taste bud in the first bite. Then the rest is sending the same message: come back again Surprisingly it is a decentbudget option. 30bucks per capita filled up all four of us. Read more

Koi Palace Milpitas is one of the Koi Palace locations around the bay. The restaurant has dim sum, a good amount of traditional... Cantonese dishes, definitely one of the high end place. The restaurant is packed with people, even during weekdays. I felt theplace is under staff a little bit. Tried to wave and order food for couple times before there is servers to help you out. Thedim sum quality is great. The portion is decent. The taste is good. Please note that 18% gratitude is automatically applied inyour bills. Read more

The food is very good. Service is good. Jasmine tea is tasteless, I don?t like it. Highly recommend the sticky rice with crab,... so delicious! You should get there at 9:50AM, they open at 10AM, very crowded, they don?t let customers write down their namesbefore 10AM so at the opening time, everyone allows to come in as the same time. Yes, they charge 18% service charge even for a party of two, and their good is a bit expensive. But. It is very much the case of... you get what you pay. Koi Palace uses great ingredients to make yummy dishes that will taste different. The crab we had was onan entire giant platter of egg white, the fried rise was a big pile and well made, the green beans were crunchy and lightlyfried. The staff is kindly and attentive. Read more
