Old school upscale dining experience, but in a good way! Think 1960’s/1970’s upscale cuisine served in a dining room that... hasn’t been updated since then. And it’s MUCH appreciated! From the Big Band Crooners on the hi-fidelity stereo system tothe attentive/professional wait staff, EVERYTHING fits perfectly together at the Ship Lantern Inn. It’s a much welcomedexperience than many of the “upscale” restaurants in the area. There’s a reason why it’s been around for almost acentury. Read more

Hadn’t been there for years because of COVID & health issues. It was wonderful. The food was as good as always and the choices... on the Twilight set menu were ample. We found out that they had built a patio so we were able to bring our puppy. It’s over anhour drive for us but we can’t wait to go back. Read more

Our host threw the greatest surprise 60th birthday party for my best friend. The staff was friendly and professional. The food... was great. We had choice of 3 entre's, dessert and coffee. Excellent night out. Read more

It is a little dicey for a disabled to navigate from the parking area to the dining area. However, that said one word covers the... staff and the food EXCELLENT. We go there as our special event restaurant, it is about 40 mile ride from home. Read more

Have been wanting to try this place for a long time. Restaurant week was a great time to try it, appetizer and entree were... great. Braised short rib was amazingly tender, and the risotto was fantastic! The dessert was good, but wasn't a traditionalapple crisp. The cappuccino paired perfectly and was one of the best I've had. Definitely worth a visit, and we will bereturning to try more of their regular menu. Read more

We had a great time at Ship Lantern Inn - the food was solid, the wine and beverages list was great (and surprisingly varied... with good selections) and the staff and atmosphere were excellent. Would definite revisit next time we are in the area! Read more

What a wonderful menu for Restaurant Week. The braised pork appetizer was spectacular. My mother had the rack of lamb for main... course, I had the asta, and our guest the beef Wellington. All were delicious and the apple crumb at the end with pecan icecream was the perfect end to a lovely meal. If you go any other time ask if they are serving the braised short, my absolutefavorite special. Read more
