This is one of the greatest diners I've ever personally been to! My wife and I decided to stop in since we were in the area and... needed some food. We decided to order the fish sandwich basket and let me say, it was as fresh as fresh can be! It took 5-10minutes to get our food from the time of the order, and it was hot and delicious! To finish off I had a chocolate malt milkshakethat was AMAZING! I haven't had a malted milkshake that good in at least 10 years, no joke! Great food and service
Service was terrible. Food was okay. There were several people seated after us that had their order taken first and received... food first. The only thing I would say was really good is that my friend ordered a to go meal to take back to her husband. Andthey actually thought to wait until we were mostly done with our meal to make it and bring it out so it would still be hot whenit made it back. I think if you are one of the regulars, your service would be fine. But if they don't know you by name, theywill serve everyone they know before you. Even if you were there significantly ahead of that person. It was a good 15 minutesuntil they took our order. It definitely isn't somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at again. Read more

The staff is nice. But the food is expensive compared to how cheap it is made. It's not very good food either. The quality of... food you get from the dollar general whether its frozen or off the shelf is 10 times better. Plus, it isn't very clean. It looksclean at first glance but when you watch them clean the surfaces it's with already soiled cleaning supplies and its dirty upclose. Its run down as well. The ice cream shop is good but I would not advise the food. The portions are small and gross. Idon't usually stop to eat here but ice cream yes. Perkins was full so I stopped here out of desperation and boy did I regret it.This is my honest and humble opinion. Read more
I grew up in Milton and live in Texas now. I am visiting for a few weeks and decided to try out May's. My mom comes here pretty... frequently and has never had any issues. I admit, the scenery is beautiful and it is a quaint place. We were excited to get icecream, and ordered a hot fudge sundae and a banana split. They brought my mom's sundae and it was a small instead of a large,which the girl replaced for her. They brought out my banana split and I noticed right away that it was melting. They literallymade me a banana split with soft ice cream. It was melting everywhere! There were also only a tiny bit of strawberry, one pieceof pineapple and two bits of peanuts. I had to ask for a tray to put the banana split on top of because it was melting all overthe table. The young man didn't even offer to give me a new one despite the fact it was melting before our eyes. I have attacheda photo of this FIVE DOLLAR banana split that I couldn't even eat. This picture was taken only after I ate the whipped cream ontop. This is what they gave me and it proceeded to melt completely after this photo was taken. And no offer to get a refund or anew sundae. I don't know what is wrong with this place but perhaps they should have people working there who are older than 17and who know how to handle customers and how to make a proper banana split. I have been going to Mae's restaurant for years I have never been disappointed have always felt like I was liked as a customer... my only problem is I wish they would open up a place again in Sunbury I like the ice cream and we no longer have an ice creamjoint in Sunbury itself there's one outside of town out by Hamilton and it's good but it's not the same as having one closer Read more
