Excellent bakery and deli. Had French toast and wife had eggs, ham and hash browns. All great and of course bought bags of... danish and cookies. Well worth the trip, be mindful of construction on Brown Deer Rd, entrance to Deerwood is open just tuff tosee on the first pass if not familiar with the area. Read more
We came to Milwaukee on a quick trip and this place was close to our hotel, with solid reviews. The staff was welcoming, warm,... and kind. I ordered their special, the Reuben, with a side summer salad and it was the most delicious food we had while on ourstay in Milwaukee. It came with a dipping sauce on the side that made it even better! During our stay we had gone to State Fairand ?nice? place in downtown (third ward) but would?ve preferred a soup and sandwich from this establishment over the otherplaces we ate at? but always willing to try new places. Love love love this place. Service is always top notch! The food is delicious and their daily specials are always worth checking... out. Their soups are made from scratch and you can definitely tell from the quality and taste. I love that they've startedselling the little toasted sliced baguettes because those are the PERFECT compliment to the soups. I always stop when I'm onthat side of town. Read more

What a cute place!! I went in there after a post on Milwaukee Foodie and I wasn't disappointed. We picked up several things... (photos included) and went home to try them. Everything was amazing. Being from Germany myself it's very hard to findBienenstich. Kurt's is amazing! It's not too sweet and the filling is custard based. The almond horns were amazing! They havejust the right amount of almonds and chocolate. The store also has an eating area inside and out. The atmosphere was verywelcoming and Kurt himself greeted us at the door. The prices are very reasonable and honestly, he could absolutely charge moreand he'd probably get it. They have soups and sandwiches and salads, including German potato.
