It was closed but the bar was open. It was a nice set up with a beautiful bar. My fiance and I were able to order some apps... and a drink to relax and watch the World Series. Alex was a very attentive bartender that had a great attitude and personality. I did not get a chance to check into a room. The hotel and the restaurant is extremely close to Mitchell airport making it aneasy place to stay for a few days in town or overnight before a flight. They are renovating and updating the hotel on theinside at this time. Read more

This was one of the worst dining experience I have ever had. I decided to make a reservation for my birthday because the menu... looked good and was diverse enough for a large crowd. I should have known by how hard it was to try to make a simple reservationthat the rest of the experience was not going to go well. We were the only table in the restaurant for about an hour and stillhad to ask to order food - and by the way, the menu was different than the menu we saw online. Our food took well over a halfhour to get and what's more is it came out in shifts! Being polite, I waited for the rest of my family to get their food, whichtook an additional 15 minutes or so for our entire table to get their food. By this time there were other tables in therestaurant complaining to the manager about how long their food was taking. We had to ask for refills as well as our plates tobe cleared. Menu has changed dramatically! (FOR THE WORSE) Sorry, but $14 for a very basic fish fry..no bread basket, no soup or... salad..just a few small pieces of fish, fries and a bit of coleslaw. The menu has so few choices that they may as well notbother having one. It was also recently remodeled, it has a very cold feeling, not decorated well at all and instead of clothnapkins you actually get a white cotton dish towel with a red stripe on it?? For real!!?? They had a decent all you can eat fish fry (or baked) the waitstaff was very friendly making sure that the kids were happy even... when being picky. It was really quiet for a Friday night. Four of us dined last evening (2/17/17) and not one of us had a good meal. The fish fries came in swimming in liquid. The... turkey melt was disgusting and a burger was greasy. The waitress did not ask how the patron would like the burger cooked. Overall we could not find anything good or positive. DO NOT EAT THERE!!! Read more

This restaurant was the worst dining experience that I've had in Wisconsin in two weeks on my business trip, very unpleasant. In... a party of 3 we only got two placement setups. The waitress wasn't very attentive as my glass of water was empty more than itwas full with. I did get a refill but I had to ask for it. I ordered a steak and baked potato and wasn't asked how I wanted mysteak prepared. When I asked about it, I was told that it was done already and it's medium to well. The steak was fine but mypoint was I wasn't given a choice. Then I wasn't given a steak knife nor condiments for my baked potato which was verydry. Then I looked at the ketchup bottle provided to my wife and it was just filthy so filthy that she had to open it with anapkin. In hindsight we should have left when the waitress Amanda didn't come right back to see if we were ready to order like awell run restaurant waitress would have. I never leave reviews for these kinds of things because I usually settle my businesswith managers. I try to offer my experience in a constructive fashion that allows the establishment to examine my complaints.This was the first time that I had ever asked for a manager and couldn't get one. Amanda said that she had been searching forone for 10 minutes and couldn't find him. I explained to her everything that I just wrote here and told her that since shecan't find the manager I will have to take my experience elsewhere so that's why I am leaving this here. Horrible service. Went for Friday fish fry and would have to say the fish was just OK... Definitely nothing to write home... about. Felt like we were a "bother" to ask for a drink refill. It seemed as if there were enough waitresses where eachoccupied table could probably have their own. Unfortunately it was as if they would much rather stand around whispering to eachother whilst leering at customers than even try to provide decent service. The older lady that was helping our table wasdownright rude when my husband asked for a to go container, like she wanted everyone there to hear we could not have one and itsthe management's policy. I understand why a policy like that may be in place for people who might abuse an "all you can eat"deal..however, the entire meal was not "all you can eat" and we only had one piece of fish left on the table at the time. Wejust didn't appreciate her attempt to embarrass us for not wanting to let our leftovers go to waste. I would NEVER return tothis establishment. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THIS PLACE... IF ANYONE IS LOOKING FOR A GOODFISH FRY WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE IN THE AREA I WOULD RECOMMEND THE AVIATOR SPORTS BAR AND GRILL DOWN THE ROAD AT THE BESTWESTERN....CORK N CLEAVER DOESN'T DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS. Best fish fry ever! Sharon was our server and she was very attentive. Flavor of the fried fish was fresh and crispy and the... baked fish was buttery and delicious! Even the cocktails were excellent! Only drawback was the [potentially good] cole slawwhich was soggy from what looked like hours in the frig sitting in it's bowl.
