We have been to Rock Country several times before and had to either little or no cover charge. Last weekend there was no cover... charge at all. Went 2/1&2/19-Very reasonable cover charges- saw 4 great bands in 2 nights! Bands all started pretty close to on time. Tall... Ketel One drinks at the same price I pay elsewhere around MKE. ENTIRE STAFF was customer oriented & very friendly. My entireparty on friday night thought the place was great- reminiscent of ta verns. Drinks and service were great, but really went for the show. RUSH tribute project were fantastic, but what was up with sound?!?... Way way too much compression. Bass articulations. Could not be heard. Lacked clarity. Lights and video were alright Read more
Was there on Sept 2 2018, band was good bar tenders were bad. 4 of us there spent over 100.00 drink and food. There was a ? On... what happened to 9.00 in change, rather then just buying us a couple of drinks they involved management which looked at video itdid show bar tender laying some change on bar then video ended they would not show me who picked up the change. Not bad. Saw a band. Ate food. Watched a few patrons mock some others who were truly enjoying themselves. Overall a pretty... decent place. Would go back and see another show. Try their mixed drinks. Most were very good and worth a shot! Read more
Pretty poor experience, we visited at 9pm on 4/13/18 and the place was completely dead, empty. You get a pat-down at the door,... with a metal detector wand, not a big deal for safety, I get it. We sat at the bar and were there for over two hours while weordered cheese curds and burgers. My empty (mixed drink) glass sat on the edge of the bar waiting for a refill longer than itwas sitting in front of me with anything to drink. There were maybe 3 or 4 other people in the bar area at times, guests weregoing out to smoke or downstairs to listen to a band. There was a server, a food runner, and a bartender sitting at the otherend of the bar on their phones or playing video poker, all while my drink sat empty on the edge of the bar in clear sight ofeveryone. The bouncer was sitting at the door and the only one actually working. The cheese curds were fine, the burger wasovercooked and underwhelming for $11 with decent tater tots. They apparently have barbecue, but when we asked the bartenderwhat she thought about the BBQ, she said she doesn't make enough money to order a $17 meal. Well, at least she didn't lie to usbecause I would've been pissed if I spent $17 on some lame bar food that that gets made in the strip club kitchen next door. First time here. Venue is set up well! Downstairs for live music, completely separate from the upstairs bar area. Food was... phenomenal! Bar tenders were hard to get their attention. Read more
