I've wanted to try this place ever since it opened. It looked so pretty from the outside, and it truly is a beautiful space... inside. We came here for lunch, making an online reservation with ease, which was followed up by confirmation texts. We startedwith the biscuits, which were absolutely amazing! I highly recommend having them with the butter, jam AND honey. All three pairperfectly! I had the Fried Green Tomatoes, and really enjoyed the grits that came with it. The goat cheese they were mixed withgave them a smooth texture and wonderful flavor. The Bless Your Heart mimosa was also good, and not too sweet but veryrefreshing and delicious. I found the portions to be of good size. Everyone left content having had just the right amount. Ihope to go back and try more! Read more

Enjoyed our meals although the chicken seemed to me to be more of a mass produced product than home kitchen style. I didn't... feel the portions were small as others have mentioned. Nice beer list. Place was jumping on a Friday night, yet we were ableto adjust our reservation because we were running late. Read more

Love the decor throughout the restaurant! The “kiss my grits” sign… love! Second time here and I will say the food was a... lot better. Seasoned fried green tomatoes, the grits are good. I have had better though. Fried pickles are good, thecauliflower as well is good too! Chicken and waffles were good, I had the Spicy with the sauce on the side. Others ordered theavocado bacon chicken sandwich, Cobb salad, Mac and cheese (fair). No complaints at our table. Wait staff were super friendly.Drinks were really good too! Read more

We had an amazing dinner at Tupelo Honey, the food and our server were exceptional. Zavier was quick with service and... recommendations, as well as enthusiastic in regard to it being our first time there. It was my birthday so he graciouslyprovided a free birthday dessert. We ordered the pimento cheese dip, the Mac N’ Cheese Waffles with Nashville hot chicken, aside of collard greens, a side of Heirloom Grits with goat cheese, banana pudding and pecan pie. The food came out so fast wehadn’t even finished with our appetizer before the waffles arrived, which was perfect as we arrived very hungry. The pimentocheese dip was warm and bursting with cheesy goodness, the chips were salty and the perfect pairing with the dip. The chickenand waffles was delicious and flavorful, just enough sauce to not overpower anything. The collard greens were a little underseasoned and tough, I would have preferred more flavor. The grits were perfect texture and flavor. The banana pudding wasdivine; they were out of whipped cream but it was so delicious it didn’t even need it. The pecan pie was also delicious, withthick stripes of chocolate to complement the richness of the pie. All in all, we would DEFINITELY eat here again. Thank youZavier for going above and beyond! First time here, and had a great experience. Had heard raves about the biscuits and the fried green tomatoes, so we tried both... and enjoyed them. The menu has some interesting takes on traditional southern fare, including a few different chicken andwaffles dishes. My suggestion would be to turn up the spice on the chicken. I think most folks eating southern food areexpecting more spice. We'll be back to try more items. Also, we were there at an odd time and it was not busy, which I'm sureis unusual. Read more

Great southern food in downtown Milwaukee! The boozy rooster was a nice, smooth bourbon cocktail. The chicken and waffles were... great. The chicken was boneless and easy to cut up to get a little per bite of waffle. We also tried the dessert duo which waspea and pie and banana pudding. It was a perfect amount to split after a filling meal. Read more

Beautifully decorated southern style restaurant with various seating options. The Moscow Mule is definitely the best drink here!... Also make sure to get the biscuits, they're incredible. The chicken however is somewhat disappointing, as it was rather plainand flavorless. Shocking considering it's a southern style restaurant. This makes it hard for me to want to return since chickenmakes up most of their menu. The banana bread pudding is terrific however! Read more

Made a reservation so we were sat quickly. Decor is modern and adorable. Ordered happy hour appetizer and drinks right away.... Took some time, but not too long. When we got our drinks we ordered the rest of our food and it took a little while to come outbut was SO GOOD!! We especially loved the fried chicken and I loved my sangria. Definitely glad this place is in the area andwill be coming back again! Would recommend to others but make a reservation as it was very busy by 6:30pm on a Tuesday. Read more
