This was an interesting place. The service was lackluster, with no clear indication of whether you should take a seat or wait... for a hostess (except for outside seating, there was a sign sending you in to get the okay). It took awhile for someone towander over and seat us. The food was good, if a bit greasy. There are several vegetarian options for those so inclined. I hadthe meatloaf mac and the meatloaf bites on top had what I think we're red peppers in them....a tasty little surprise! Thechicken pot pie got thumbs up, too. And the vegan mac for our lactose intolerant party member was deemed delicious. Portions arehearty, they could easily be shared by smaller appetites. Strange name for a restaurant and it catches you off guard as you are not sure what to expect. Has a kitchen/modern diner feel.... The food was FANTASTIC for just be a regular casual sit down restaurant. Very unique menu. I loved the pickled vegetables andhow fresh they were, the handmade and homemade onion rings. The stone fruit cobbler and peach pie were something special.Excellent and glad I stopped by for a try. Read more

Okay I?ve never reviewed anything online but I had to share this with the people? I?ve had wonderland several times because I... live close. Each somehow worse than the last? This time I ordered a breakfast sammy and added sausage because it sounded boringwithout it and hash browns. My thought was, ?how could you mess up a breakfast sandwich? I would make one myself but I didn'thave the ingredients or the drive to do it at home. Anyway, the pictures tell you a lot but I will tell you more. I opened thehash browns and thought ?wtf is this? and when I tasted it that thought came back into my mind. I honestly didn?t know potatoescould look and taste like that (under salted, burnt, and had something mysterious in them?I think?) Next the breakfast sandwichwas opened and I was shocked. There was enough egg for two sandwiches, again under seasoned (the picture with the eggs is howmuch was left after I ate the sandwich). The biscuit was dry and crumbled as I ate. I added hot sauce and it wasn?t enough toredeem it. Anyway, my goal is just to inform customers that Wonderland might not be the best choice for food?unless you get theNashville chicken sandwich, that one?s p good (hence the two stars). Solid food. Decent menu. Pot pie a bit bland. Had to really add salt and pepper. Happy hour 2-for-1 beers were great.
Very quick service and incredible food. Menu is great. Bacon, ham, and sausage were notably impressive; ham is pulled and it... seems that the sausage is homemade. Decor itself is very cool, they clearly invested some coin into this location. Definitely anew favorite for breakfast/brunch in MKE and I?ll be back often. Read more

Cool place. Very disappointed with the food and quality of the food. Would have asked for something different but we choked down... the very fishy thick battered fish fry. Possibly the worst perch I have ever had. The Tartar sauce was outstanding buteverything else we had was awful. Told the waitress about the tempura Vegetables.she took them off the bill . Wish she wouldhave come around sooner we could have tried something else that would have tasted better. Hope it this was just an off night. Iwas looking forward to getting my clam chowder but the waitress never brought me my soup. Maybe she could be more responsive tothe other patrons. Although I did tip her 30%. Read more
