We came here for an impromptu birthday dinner and it was such a pleasant experience. Fernando was our server and he was very... sweet, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions regarding the menu and what was included in certain dishes. The food wasall delicious, the rice was yum, the pork chop dish was cooked to perfection and we had no complaints. The sangria pitcher wastasty, but keep in mind it's a large pitcher, if your part is small, maybe get the half pitcher instead. I love that they offerhalf pitchers too, since not many places do. We, a party of four, entered the restaurant and not a single soul acknowledged our presence. Any other party after us were... acknowledged and sat. They told us to pick our own table and it took 15 minutes before anybody even came up to us. The waitress,Veronica, did not even greet us in any way and she just handed us the menus to walk away. We ordered drinks and our food. Itcame in a timely manner. One member of my party asked for a refill of his soda and she immediately said ?no refills? while noteven offering to provide him with another drink regardless. She lacked customer service skills. She did not once come by thetable to ask us if everything was okay or if we needed anything. In fact, we had to wave her obnoxiously although we made eyecontact and she acted as if nobody was trying to get her attention. By the time we received our check, we finally understood whyshe lacked basic customer service skills. Gratuity was charged on our bill although nowhere in the restaurant nor the menu didit mention anything about gratuity being included for a small party. She did not deserve a cent. The food was mediocre andaccompanied with horrendous service, we will not be coming back again. Save your money and eat elsewhere. Read more
First time was excellent,second time was horrible, beans were cold rice was cold too, knifes looked nasty and ugly, unsanitary... up to a point, waitress were not the nicest, and in one of the arepas looked like it had been bitten, and the food as a wholewas not hot, it felt like it was put in a microwave instead of and actual kitchen, for one drink they took about 25-30 mins,would not reccomend at all, expensive as well. Excellent food! Most dishes came with multiple proteins, advocado or guac, and tostones or sweet plantains. The salmon was... medium to well done and very tasty. The guac on the potatoes was a suprisingly good combination, especially with the onion. Theonly reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was because of the service. The staff was very kind but we spent a while waiting foranyone to walk past our table so we could get more water and a tip. But I will be going back regardless! Read more
I visited this restaurant for the first time last week. One word..... AMAZING!! The portion size is like Flintstone style. You... see the picture ???? I had the fried chicken cutlet dinner which I literally had for lunch and dinner the next day. The ricewas delicious and plantains, don't get me started. Delicious. Let's not forget to wash this all down, I had a delicious PinaColada. Soooo good. The presentation was on point. Staff was great. It was just an amazing experience. I will definitely beback. this has become our favorite Colombian restaurant! We travel here from queens with no problem because it is totally worth it.... The food is perfectly delicious every time and they give you so much food! The prices as well are very reasonable consideringhow much food you get. The alcoholic drinks as well are just as good they are not watered down or overally sweet and you have totry the bulldog at least once you wont regret it! if you get the double you can even share it! Excellent food and ambiance! Visiting on a business trip from Maryland and will surely return when I'm back in this area! Staff... was pleasant. Ample parking available at the rear of the restaurant for a small fee (meter is $.25 per 30 minutes). Read more
