I can't recommend Gatherings Cafe strongly enough. When I first called to check on their menu, I was assisted by a very nice... employee that not only answered all my questions but also informed us that there was a gift shop there and a Native Americanfarmers market down the clock. Upon arriving, the wonderful employees helped us out and even brought our food to my wife as Ishopped around. The food was just as amazing as the employees were. We couldn't decide between the walleye tacos or bison meltso we ordered both and were so happy we did. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! The tacos and bison melt were fresh andtasty and the salad was a perfect compliment to both. The cultural and culinary experience that Gatherings Cafe and all thewonderful people at the Minneapolis American Indian Center and the Four Sisters Farmers Market provided my family will foreverbe a highlight of our time in Minneapolis. This was the best salad I have ever tried and the bison fungi sandwich was so tender and yummy. Eating healthier is easy here.... You can use grubhub too. The soup was great too. Our server was super nice and was able to explain our choices and service witha smile is always appreciated. Read more

Dearest Lucy (me) suggested Gatherings Cafe to the brunch bunch. Our newest provisional member Jackie arrived initially with... Paul (not together, mind you). After some small chit chat, Danielle arrived and we got down to business (Lucy was running late). The atmosphere was special--a bare bones cafe in the heart of the Native American community center with the smell of freshlywashed dishes. While they were tragically out of sweet potatoes, we all had food that we were absolutely floored by. Paul's onlycomplaint was the kick on his breakfast burrito which left him a sweaty mess. The waiter who took our order quickly checked onPaul to make sure he was feeling well. Gatherings: come for the food, stay for the attractive hospitality. Read more

Best breakfast I have had in a long time. Walleye is wow and Ave Omelette was really good to. Prices are very reasonable and... easy free parking in a good sized lot. Can't wait to go back. Read more
