With its fresh baked bread, inviting atmosphere, and reasonable prices, Lu?s stands out as one of the best places for a bahn mi... in the Twin Cities. When we dined in, the interior was a bit messy however, there was a fly buzzing around, and it seemed likethey were short staffed; that?s why I?m docking a star. Additionally, their boba were on the mushy side. Other than thosegripes, the dining experience was exceptional, and that?s a credit to their quality food. I highly recommend visiting Lu?s fora sandwich, salad, noodles, or bubble tea if you haven?t already. We left feeling full and satisfied and it was a pleasantexperience overall. Read more
Lu?s has the best banh mi around, and it was my go-to delivery restaurant during the worst parts of the pandemic. It is also... probably one of my top five food spots in the Twin Cities. Their food is consistently outstanding, and the service is alwaysquick and friendly. I am absolutely obsessed with their curried tofu banh mi. The flavor of the tofu is unparalleled, the breadis always soft and flaky, and the rest of the toppings are tangy and crunchy. All of the flavors and textures meld to create abeautiful symphony. I also love their fried sesame balls and veggie egg rolls. A few years ago, I went to Lu?s with a friendand her sister. While we were eating, Lu?s sold out of bread and had to close for the rest of the day. A wonderful employeeoffered for us to take some of the egg rolls and sesame balls for free, since they would have to throw them out anyway. It wasthe sweetest gesture, and we still talk about it to this day. I recommend Lu?s to all of my friends, and I love taking visitorsto try it when they come to Minneapolis. Read more

I love love love this place. The bread is always fresh and so are the ingredients. I always get the Bahn mi with pork and... traditional toppings. Extra meat is a must. The pork is always cooked perfectly. I brought a newbie with me and he's just ashooked as I am. Lu's never disappoints. Service is always presented with a smile. 4.5 stars really. Bread was solid. Traditional banh mi (cold cuts) was pretty good, think if the meats were a little more room... temp or warm it?d be better. Pork banh mi (most popular) wasn?t anything to write home about. Friendly employees, really likedthey had small and large sizes. The pan-fried chicken sandwich was amazing! I did the paté spread and mayo with extra cucumber, shredded carrots, lettuce,... cilantro, peanuts, and soy sauce. Regardless of needing a little salt, the sandwich was delicious with the spicy sauce. Thespring rolls were delicious just add a little more basil and mint, but amazing with peanut sauce. Lu's is one of my absolute favorite places! I always go back and forth between the tofu and mock duck banh mi, but after having... them side by side I give the slightest edge to mock duck (I was so excited to eat them I forgot to take photos). The springrolls were similarly excellent. I got the peanut sauce and think that was the right option for me in the moment. The friedsesame balls were a little tough this last time I went, but still enjoyable and highly recommended by yours truly. Read more
