Food was great..but for price?ouch
The staff was nice and the food was acceptable/average. I was surprised to learn that some traditional Greek toppings are not... included. Kalomata olives and feta cheese are both extra; I was willing to pay an additional 10-12% of my meal price for a sideof olives (with pits, not included on my meal). Overall it was very overpriced, but it was decent food. I will also caveat thisby recognizing their location downtown (convenient and expensive in general) and fewer people in downtown Minneapolis over thelast year. Read more
Fantastic Food! The Best Feta and Honey I have ever had. Reading the other reviews on here remind me that if you put 12 people... in a room and asked them 1 question, you'd get 12 different opinions. Fantastic Greek food in a quick order lunch style. If you've been to their St. Paul location, then this is a "lite" version of... that with some of their most popular options. You choose pita wrap, lettuce wrap, rice bowl or salad bowl and go from there.You pick your protein and add ins the same way you would at Roti or Naf Naf but with Mediterranean flavors. I had the saladbowl with Lamb & Beef kabob and my wife had the Chicken Pita wrap and we split a "Naughty Fry". The best part of this place isthe true Greek style fries which are covered in feta and greek seasoning. Having been to Greece several times I can attest tohow close to the real deal the food is here. Everything we've tried so far we've enjoyed. I would have given this a 5/5 butwould have liked another kabob in the salad and maybe have it be more tender but those are minor complaints. My biggest complaint is that the menu and layout of the meal prep line make it difficult to determine what is included in the... meal and what the final price will be. I walked away with a simple gyro and two sauces for a total price of $13. In hindsight,I should have skipped the sauces. The food was good, but absolutely not worth the price given the other Greek lunch optionsavailable downtown. Barring any changes, I will not be going back. Read more
I visited the new Minneapolis skyway location in the Capella Tower today for lunch and I honestly wasn?t impressed. I think the... marketing or menu is a bit of a turn off because it appears that there is an extra charge for so many things. For example I gotthe rice bowl so there is a $3.00 charge for that, then I pick my protein so there was an additional $8.90 charge for that, Iget veggies added on at no cost, but then to get some type of sauce I am looking at another $1.50 charge for that and thenadding Feta cheese is another $2.00 there too. Looking at that and seeing that everything is extra is kind of a turn off. It islike well what just comes with a standard order? It just doesn?t appear that the pricing is very friendly to the customer. Myfood was alright but not something that I would typically spend over $15.00 on for a lunch which didn?t include a drink orfries. My husband got a gyro and that was about $10.00 and it wasn?t large it was pretty small in comparison to typical gyros.The experience was meh at best. I wouldn?t plan on going back. I can say that if you want a great traditional Greek meal for areasonable price go to the Trieste Café. They have much better options and pricing. The next place I would go to over theNaughty Greek would be the Greek Grill. Heck I would even go to Andrea?s pizza to get a gyro from them before going back to TheNaughty Greek. This is a great place for some delicious Greek Food. I tried the chicken wrap and the fries. The best part about the fries is... that they make it fresh every day! I loved it and will highly recommend this place. The staff were very nice and friendly, andthe ambience is nice. Read more
The service was incredibly slow. Ordered the traditional $10 Pork Gyro. The meat was dried out like jerky, one tomato slice... and three red onion slivers topped with crusty old french fry bits. Paid $15 to understand why this place is always empty. Read more
