I am a Japanese food junkie, and this place is awesome all around. The hibachi is well cooked and very tasty, some of the best I... have had in my extensive experience. The sushi is fresh, tightly rolled, and in nice bite-sized pieces (vs. those monstermouthfuls). Every time I come to town, I eat here or get take out. Super friendly stay too - Highly recommend! We decided to try the all you can eat lunch sushi special that they offer before 3pm. The experience was unfortunately typical... for ?all you can eat?. The staff were very pleasant. The restaurant was not at all crowded, and there were 2 sushi chefsworking. After our first order was taken we waited 20 minutes for the rolls. The nigiri was mostly rice with salmon and tuna sothinly sliced on top I swear I could see rice kernels right through it. The rolls were barely average, decent, the Pacific rollwas the best. We had 4 different rolls. They all tasted alike. We waited 10 minutes till the waitress came back so we couldorder round 2. Ordered 2 more rolls and a ginger salad. Salad back in 5 minutes. Nice creamy sweet dressing. 20 minutes laterthe rolls came out. Tasted the same. By now we had been there for over an hour and were tired of sitting. Excellent! The food and experience were fantastic. The all-you-can-eat lunch is an outstanding deal, and this is the first place... where I could order unlimited items off the menu (i.e. where it was not a bar that I had to go up to for additional servings).Each dish was carefully crafted and tasted great. The only potential negative was the Katsu sauce was more ketchup-y than Iexpected, but there are plenty of other dishes for me to enjoy. I am rating this a 5 since the service was good and exceptional. The staff are friendly and aren't the usual stuck up like some... places are. The quality of food was very good except for the rice. If you are Asian like us we hold our rice to a higherstandard. Other than that we would come back here again to eat. Maybe try their noodles. Read more

Best sushi we've had in Miramar Beach or Destin! The rolls were perfect. Portions were generous, ingredients were top quality,... the rice was cooked perfectly and the fish melted in your mouth. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful in helpingus choose the right rolls. We came here on a whim and it's now over of our new favorite places to eat when we're here onvacation! As expected, awesome experience all around with all you can eat sushi and Japanese cuisine brought fresh and piping hot to my... table. Priced at just over $20 for adults, very reasonable. Server Hannah was very friendly, fast, and attentive to my needs. Idon't recall prior servers at Shan Kishi in the past to be quite as good. To keep prices low and reduce waste, be sure not towaste food as some portions could be considered full size meals. We will definitely be back and appreciate the great hospitalityand superb food!
