Our server was great, the food was wonderful. The only problem was that the kitchen mixed up the "Taste of Hacienda" platters.... They had my beef taco salad on my sister's platter with her chicken burrito and taco and her chicken taco salad on my plate ofbee entrees. Nice staff ! Offered veteran discount for my father, thanked for his service. Polite ! They were busy but we weren't rushed. I... disliked the gloomy feel of a corner, recommendation . Another staple of the Michiana area! We went during an off-time, so they were short staffed which also meant a 15-20 min wait... even though the restaurant was pretty empty. The cheese soup, wet burrito are classics, and of course - chips and ranch. Servicewas excellent, but I think due to being so short staffed, the food was ok, and the drinks took about the same time as the fooddid. We were immediately sat on a Saturday at lunch time. Followed by warm chips and salsa. Chicken Taco salad was good, chicken... was juicy and flavorful. My guest got a chimichanga that was perfection. My little guest (2yr old) enjoyed a frozen kids drink,delicious Mac n cheese and warm fries. Nostalgic atmosphere and constantly played old school favorites on the radio. Perfectquick lunch stop. Although the food isn?t authentic ?Mexican? cuisine, it?s still pretty good and their frozen margaritas are phenomenal. There... was a kitchen staff shortage last evening and we were put on a waitlist. We only waited 20 out of the 30 minutes we were quoted.We were attended to immediately once seated. I was impressed that our order came as quickly as it did. (Especially consideringthey only had one cook.) Kudos to the employees for pulling it together and making the best of the situation. The rice was subtle and tender. It?s flavors danced across your tongue. The chicken was Smokey and flavorful. The spices were... well balanced.
