I went to dinner the other day with a good friend of mine, we went to eat at Dai Tung of Mission. It's a small little... restaurant with a alot to choose from on the menu. It's located on Shary road just south of 495. Once seated we ordered ourusual iced teas. After going over the menu,( undecided) and narrowing it down to one dish I opted for the Basil Chicken andordered some fried cream cheese wontons for a starter. My friend ordered the Shrimp, Chicken, Beef with vegetables (combo). Healso ordered a bowl of egg drop soup. The soup and the wontons came first. My friend loved the soup, it came with fried wontonwrappers. I thought my fried wontons were boring, just plain cream cheese. A little scallions mixed in would have gone a longway to hooking it up with some needed flavor. There was a sweet and sour sauce that came with it, but I really wasn't feelingit. The plates arrived steaming hot, as well as, the rice. Everything looked so fresh and I saw jalapenos in mine, I was like"Oh Yeah" my first bite I got a good taste of the basil, my second bite bland. I started looking for more basil for flavorbites. Once the basil leaves were gone so was the flavor My friend made the same comment, he said it really needed something.The rice was steamed perfectly, and my friend's fried rice didn't look fried at all. Overall I wasn't too impressed andhonestly, I can make better tasting Chinese food, way better. I won't be going back. The portions are great, but what good isthat, if all you end up with is a big plate of unflavorful food. Read more
Food is always freshly made taste great everything is a lil spicy ???? so if you like mild ask for it mild.. egg rolls are very... affordable too. I?ve tried kung poa chicken, orange chicken, hunan chicken , and the general chicken they all taste awesome noissues.. ;) we usually share a plate very well served. Can split a plate. Always delicious! Lunch potions, dinner plates and take out come with a lot of food - no skimping at all!

My wife and I have always liked Dai Tung in Mission. Atmosphere is nice, dark, quiet. Service is prompt. Food is good, although... my wife didn't care for the egg rolls, but I did so I ate hers. We usually order the chicken almond. Large portion - we bothcouldn't finish it and ate about half. The meal comes with soup - we go the egg drop which was delicious. This is our fourth time eating at Dai Tung?s. The food portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. There are a lot of... negative reviews on the customer service but the times we?ve visited the waiters/waitresses are very polite. I?m very picky withmy Chinese food and I must say the food here is delicious. I definitely recommend this place. Read more
