Friendly staff and clean environment but their portions are one of the smallest i have experienced in any burrito joints in GTA.... A regular burrito looks like a small and a bowl is absolutely not filling. I get a feeling they are saving the toppings, and Godknows for what. All the best. Read more
If only I could give negative stars. Worst bar burrito ever. They charge you full price for the dish but give you less than half... when they serve. I bought my regular extreme fries, I could literally count the number of fries in it.. it was that less. Askedfor jerk chicken and I got some dry chicken which was certainly not jerk chicken ( not at least like other Barr burritostore) And the burrito, I had to ask several times to put more toppings. She kept adding 2-3 pieces of small cut tomatoes, 3-5pieces of corn kernels. When asked to add sauce, they put like a thin layer. I saw the lady make someone else?s bowl. Usuallythe give 1 spoon of cheese or other ingredients. This lady took a spoon and then empties half of it and pours to the bowl. I amnot surprised to read comment which shows half bowl. My worst experience at a burrito place.. I generally love burrito bowls and is my go to dinner as a healthy option. I have had... so many burrito bowls in the region, but this was my worst experience. The staff put literally as less toppings as she could.And well ya the photos where u can see less than half of the bowl filled is what i got after i asked her to put extra veggiesafter noticing she didn?t even fill the bowl 1/4th. Also not to forget i paid $13.30 of my hard earned money to buy me a dinnerwhich was even less than a snack size.. Terrible terrible experience. Went there today (June 22nd) they scammed me for $2( not a big amount but it?s about honesty) by saying he is charging me extra... for beans, whereas bar burrito doesn?t even have an option of charging for extra beans. And no burrito place out there chargesfor extra beans, would be happy to pay if your menu had charges of extra beans. ????? Read more
Could have been a 5 star if only the staff weren't so stingy with filling their bowls, you pay $12+ for a burrito bowl that's a... fixed size but it always comes half full, they ensure they put as little of everything as possible. I've waited to leave thisreview after trying out the restaurant 5-6 times thinking that maybe it was just the individual staff member but they all do it,which tells me management or ownership has trained them to give you as little as possible. Overall food tastes good. Noticed on the evening of May 18, one of the staff loaded up fresh lettuce into an old insert of... lettuce that had a bit of leftover lettuce from the last time it was filled. I've worked in kitchens and it's frowned upon whenyou have new product mixed in and is on top of any old product within the insert/container. Also a cleanliness/quality controlissue as the insert had been out for meal service as well, especially as it's been emptied and not changed out for a newone. May be a good time for the staff to have a refresher on changing out to a clean insert instead of putting new product inan old insert that's not gone through the wash yet or not following FIFO with new product stacked on old product. 1st time in my life ever having a burrito. They didn't have the toppings I like but its understandable. The burrito was made... quick and seemed with fresh ingredients. I got the steak burrito and it could have used a lot more meat for the price. Read more
Went there for a burrito bowl and it cost $18. The bowl was basically half filled. I was shocked, for $18 you would expect at... least a full scoop of rice. Never going there again. Read more
