I was driving through the village today and thought to myself I haven't got any Chinese Food from Empire Wok in a few years. And... there still going strong ! Showed a little back bone and went for something other than the General Tao. I got some sesamechicken with a side of chicken fried rice and chicken balls..the place was clean and tidy as a restaurant should be and alwaysin in there. BUT THE FOOD!! I'd give them a 10/10 I didn't remember anything from there tasting THIS good!! I hope they are asblessed as I feel for receiving such a great meal ! Thanks Empire Wok! Read more
Under average food, ordered C7 combo the only thing that was good about it was the sesame chicken. We also ordered beef with... vegetables which was the only good thing out of the whole meal along with the regular steam fried rice. Last but not least weordered Shanghai noodles was too spicy and flavourless and the noodles weren?t even traditional Shang hai noodles to add to theprevious order of C7 the sweet and sour pork was flavourless and all bread no meat. I've been coming here ever since it first opened. In fact, they know me as the Mr. C8 (my favourite dish on the menu). When you... go to a lot of these places, you have a certain expectation, but Empire Wok is one of the few places that actually blows theexpectations out of the water. Honestly cant write a review about the food because I never even got it. So this is more the staff and service. I ordered my... food over the phone from a lovely woman who took down my order. We confirmed the time I would pick it up, LOCATION, and then Ihung up. When I arrived at the restaurant to grab my food it was not there, no record of it being put through at all. Whichcan be excusable, we all make mistakes... But the next part was jokes, because I was made to feel bad that my food wasn't there.I was yelled at by the guy at the front because my food wasnt there. No responsibility at all taken by the restaurant, andbecause I had to go back to work I couldn't wait for another order to be made, nor did I feel like it after being made to feelbad about the restaurants screw up. I wish I could give this place a 0 out 5 stars. Literally the worst food I've ever put into my body, the hot and spicy wings... tasted almost rancid. And were literally covered in dry chillies you get at the store, like you would use for pasta. The almondsoo guy, was hard as a brick and the rice was atrocious. Will not recommend to anyone. The past few times I've been disappointed because there is more batter then meat. Today took the cake. I ordered a combo and my... almond soo guy was literally a block of batter with barely any chicken inside one piece and none at all in the other 2. Pleasenote what you are seeing in the picture is all batter on this one piece. Never again. Read more
