I had high hopes for this place since most of the reviews were positive but it was a huge letdown. Their bowls even have “fire... means flavour” written on them which is hilarious since it was lacking flavour all around. I had the spicy garlic miso and itwas bland, even the broth wasn’t even that good. Big disappointment considering I can get way better ramen back home and washoping for something even remotely close. Over-rated restaurant and disappointed. Menu is oily and sticky. Food and flavor is not authentic Japanese and more of a Korean... style which is understandable as it is run by Koreans. Soup base is not tasty. We ordered two additional boosters to the ramendish but they only served one. Grilled dumplings should have crispy skin on the bottom but it is very soft. Edit added It was my first this time here and I tried their fiery seafood ramen. I got it in their highest spicy level and... thought it wasn't that spicy. However, the broth was very delicious and the seafood added was in just the right amount. The foodcame pretty quickly and we got our table in a very short wait time. came during busy lunch hours and was pleasantly surprised by how easy the waitlist system was to use. they have a tablet by the... entrance which only takes a minute to sign yourself in. my party waited only 10-15 minutes before being seated and our food cameout just as fast as we ordered! i ordered the miso kamen and it was so good! the roasted pork and the broth were my favouriteparts! service was also very friendly, the server was super patient when taking our order and was able to give us somerecommendations on the spice level! they also checked up on a couple of times in case we needed anything! My wife and I had the most amazing ramen from this place! We've tried Kenzo, Kinton and this place. We both agree that hands... down this place has the best food. The soup isn't as oily as Kinton which I really loved, the flavour and seasoning isabsolutely incredible, the noodles are so fresh and perfectly cooked. I was genuinely blown away and so sad to see they don'thave any other locations as we live in Hamilton. I'm going to have to take a star off Kinton and Kenzo to adjust for how muchbetter Kamen is! This place is a gem! The food is great! Reasonably priced and good portions too. The place is clean, staff are all so nice and... welcoming. The place is not that big so, expect wait times more than 30mins. Parking is a bit challenging too, since it’s abusy plaza. Overall experience is definitely 5 stars! We will surely come back. Tldr: it was amazing, if you're thinking of going. Stop thinking and just go. Food: really tasty and each broth has its own... distinct flavor, as expected due to their base being different. The broth is rich and the various elements in the ramen go wellwith it. The noodles are well done and a good texture. Service: it gets really packed so be prepared to wait. We got lucky andhad no one infront of us and it still took 10 mins to get a table. So prepare to wait, or put your name on the list and comeback when you get a text from their reservation system.
