I come here very often and I'm usually very impressed. But I came in on Saturday around one and ordered 2 oxtail meals and a... jerk chicken. I can honestly say by the the most tasteless bland food I could imagine. The oxtail wasn't made with any love itwasn't tender and had literally zero flavour. This place is so stingy with their jerk sauce. If you order jerk chicken they don't have any jerk sauce or jerk gravy for the... rice. They only offer curry gravy or oxtail gravy, meanwhile, they have a container filled with jerk sauce. If you ask them toput some on the rice the answer is 'we don't do that'. Even if you offer to pay more for it, they won't give it to you. Theother thing is that they're pretty much always out of dark meat and only have white left. Like if the dark meat is in such highdemand, how hard is it to make sure it doesn't run out? Just make more dark meat and don't hold back on the jerk sauce... Just visited this potluck location (trying for the first time) ordered a quarter of jerk chicken and was told by the cashier... that I can't get ketchup or hot sauce because of company policy. STAY AWAY. I love supporting black but y'all need to learncustomer service. Read more
Don't waste your time or money going to this restaurant. I'm Jamaican and I know what's considered AMAZING "Jamaican Dishes,"... and this is by far the worst restaurant I've ever came across. I ordered a large jerk chicken and received a breast and a burntwing with enormous amount of rice. The rice ratio doesn't even make sense. I asked the cashier, "how many pieces of chicken doyou receive with a small?" and she replies, "ONE." So why the hell would anyone order a Large to get the same amount of meat ina small. The customer service at Potluck is decent. I have yet to have a bad experience dealing with any of the workers. I will say that... the best dish they make is their soups. The oxtail didn?t live up to standard, tastes stale and to me, is overpriced for thevalue. I like that I usually don?t have to wait long for my food and enjoy the interior design of the restaurant. Ordered a Large Jerk chicken meal. The portion was small, I got 2 drumsticks, very small piece of a thigh and the rest were... bones following with some coleslaw, rice and peas. Felt like a Small meal. Much smaller portion overall compared to the 7070 StBarbara location. Customer service was okay. Will be definitely going to the other location because it's much more worth it. Read more
