First-timer at the Sushi Maki House. Ordered a large (take-out) sushi/sashimi/maki party platter on short notice. It was ready... for pick-up as promised when we arrived. Friendly staff. The quality of fish was very fresh and nice but the sumeshi (rice) was a little disappointing. The texture of it was off that... the roll kept breaking apart. Other than that everything was on point. I would definitely go back! Read more
First time to try it out, but boy am I glad I did, usually we don't prefer ordering sushi, but with the pandemic its the only... way now, so really enjoyed this fresh plate. We ordered the small, and it was more than enough for 3 adults. Will be comingback. Read more
This was a mixed bag for me. We ordered a small party tray for New Year's Eve. Sushi, maki and sashimi. I called the order in... much earlier in the day with a time for pick up. It was a bit annoying that when i got there, it was not ready. I waited over 20minutes for them to get it together. The worst part was that they didn't even offer an apology for this. They just kept tellingme "soon it will be ready." Uh ok... The quality of the sushi we got was very good though, thankfully. It was very fresh, andprepared very well! Unfortunately the pieces were a bit small, as was the tray in general. It was also fairly expensive for whatwe got. (~$55/50pcs). I know that sushi is expensive in general, but I'm having a hard time finding a store that replicates thequality and quantity I was used to at the other stores I used to frequent in my old neighborhood. I?ve always loved this place, but I think this was the best maki party tray. 70 pcs of assorted maki, I requested it to be... cooked due to pregnancy and all I?ve been craving is sushi. So I was glad they could accommodate to it. So much variety, enoughto feed 2-4 ppl. Also, I asked to pay over the phone, which not a lot of places do, but Maki House accommodated to this requestas well. Go here! It?s really good, and it?s a local business as well. The sushi here was amazing! I had the classic Shrimp Tempura Rolls and the flavour, taste and texture were on-point. Very... inexpensive too! I?m excited to try out the different offerings they have! Read more
Ordered from Uber eats and the food was great as well as the chips they give you! Definitely would eat here again.
