Janet had a horrible attitude. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. Not coming back

We had a very friendly and professional experience this weekend. Plus the pretzel bites were excellent! Wish I could have left... a tip with my card. Read more

I will admit I used to be an employee, first and foremost. I spent 2 years behind the counter, and eventually got supervisor... position...for 5 cents over minimum. Do. Not. Work for them. I never ever met the actual owner, and drama is rampant. The longerI stayed, the worse it got, and it only seems worse from recent reviews. I apologize sincerely for how awful your experiencewas. Professionalism died after many of us left for better jobs. If I had the money I would certainly open my own to teach themthey need to shape up. Pro tip: Ask for a fresh pretzel every time. I used to check (with gloves) how hard a pretzel was beforeserving, but they no longer do this. They have taken a quick buck over quality. I miss the pretzels, I really do, but I willnever buy from them again. I will conclude with this: This store will shrivel and die unless things drastically change andfighting stops. Just remembered: I was once told the pretzel place was an afterthought, since Bob's Pizza is owned by the samepeople. It's pretty clear that The Pretzel Place is the redheadded step-child of business, and always gets pushed aside andstepped on. Edit 2: Checked Facebook messages. An old employee threatened me after I filed a grievance on him. Real frickin'classy. Get ahold of your nutcase employees! Read more

I use to be the assistant manager at this place. When we switched managers in the summer of 2019 the hygiene of the store... plummeted. Trying to get the manager and her wife (who was a blatant conflict of interest) to do simple things, like wipe offthe counter, wash their hands, or properly wash dishes, was offensively difficult. The manager has great customer serviceskills, but don't let that blind you to the fact that you have a chance of becoming ill from the food here. Read more

I ordered from here a couple of weeks ago and I was very upset with they way I was treated and how the employees were acting.... They weren't even paying attention to the small line of customers they had. They were to busy goofing off, talkinginappropriately, and they were very rude when I was ordering my pretzel. The customer service was horirble. The pretzel was veryundercooked and tasted like dough. I understand it's just food but they are representing the company. I am very disappointedwith the way I was treated and how the employees act when their boss or any other team of management is not around. I will nevereat here again. I do not recommend eating here at all. Read more

This place has okay pretzels. There isn't the selection of other items that a certain well-known chain has, but the price is... quite reasonable for mall pretzels which makes up for that (mall pretzels, of course, are infamously overpriced anywhere). Youdo need to ask how fresh they are, because when they're not busy, they're not nearly as good. They're best when just made :D Ihave serious concerns about their handling of credit cards, also. Pretzel Place was actually one of the first in Missoula to useEMV (chip card) transactions, which ensure the card presented is genuine and not cloned. On a recent visit, they've actuallydisabled EMV and are swiping cards. When I messaged them about it, they said they disabled it due to speed and weren't worriedabout the chance of people using cloned cards for a $5 purchase. That may be true, but until there is nowhere left a cloned cardcan be used, there's an incentive for thieves to clone cards. I'm trying (it isn't always possible - I love Claire's and theydon't have EMV yet) to avoid any shop without chip enabled. I certainly find it really bad that a shop would take a stepbackwards and disable chip support because they don't find a few seconds extra to be worth it to ensure the card is genuine. They get a star taken off for doing this.
