I am from FORT WORTH, TX and travel to Houston for relatives and Everytime I?m in town I stop to a crab joint & THIS SPOT HERE... over exceeded our expectations!!! When I say we rarely find a spot that claims they have a ?spicy? sauce and it?s ACTUALLYspicy . We ordered the spiciest flavor crab boil and left so stuffed, red lips, and no leftovers. My boyfriend and I usually look forward to coming Reel! The food is always bomb! It?s also hard to find a actually good crawfish... and decent priced place nowadays. The food of course is always great but what makes it better is the service. The staff areusually welcoming and kind. However, whenever we usually go Alex is usually our server! He?s very considerate and usuallyupdating us about any changes or something new that he suggest that we should try! He?s very quick and always checks up on us!Very cool guy! Read more
The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and... adults alike. They were all exquisite. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious. The award-winning chefs use the best qualityingredients to produce dishes that are simply delightful. The restaurant also offers a happy hour. The service was quality.Jomar was very engaged or interested in his job. He seemed very warm and thoughtful. He came around to check on our experienceand seemed to be authentically engaged. The food was hot and fresh. Not pictured is the fried mushrooms. They didn't stand a chance, lol. The mushrooms were seasoned... perfectly. The chicken was fried perfectly but could've used a bit more seasoning. The fish was fried perfectly and tasted goodwith the infamous garlic butter sauce. The fried rice was better after the addition of garlic butter sauce as well as thesteamed veggies. Now...to the boiled seafood. I got the mix of the flavors available. It was excellent. My issue is that theflavor was on the outside, not within. The crawfish need to soak in a well seasoned boil in order to get the flavor within. Butthe sauce was so good, I still give it 4 stars. Reviews here are very helpful. I took time reading from the visitors food experience first before going. We wanted to try their... boiled seafood; snow crabs legs, shrimps, mussells, wings..and we did. and it was amazingly good and delicious in garlic butter.Too bad no crawfish at the time of our visit. I really loved the reel rice. It was very tasty and even on its own its alreadyawesome. I just wished they would put more creamy sauce on top but it was really fantastic. Serving potions were okay and justright for the pricing. We ordered everything mild and it was perfect. The spicy ranch wings are good too. Just a few friendlysuggestions, hope they put covers on the tables, it was kinda sticky. Also having few crab crackles available for stubborncrabshells and not just scissors, it would be better dining experience. Our server was terrific. Overall, I would definitelyrecommend this place to friends and family. We're going back here very soon.. we loved the food. Read more
Fresh seafood, cooked with good seasonings. Simple dining room, filled with the smell of good food. This was our first time... here, and the positive reviews did not disappoint. For starters, we ordered fried pickles and raw oysters. The pickles weresliced like chips and had a crispy batter and seasoning. Pretty good. We also had some hush puppies, which arrived fresh with acrisp outer layer. Also very good. I ordered the grilled catfish and shrimp with lemon pepper seasoning, while my wife had thesame with Cajun seasoning. We both tried each other's, and both preferred what we ordered instead of the other's seasoning. Ourdaughter had the combo fried basket of catfish and shrimp with fries. Also, all delicious. Some of the best crawfish and shrimp in the Houston area. Shrimp is cooked perfect and not over cooked making it easier to peel.... Their sauce is so flavorful and isn?t just oil as many other restaurants have. Always ask for extra sauce and make sure to addpotatoes, corn, sausages and all the fixings! The best thing about this restaurant is that they have something for everyone.Their chicken wings are great! I always get them breaded one and even their dry rubs are so flavorful and crispy.
