The food was very good just took awhile to get.
We found El Compadre on Google while visiting from out of town. They had good reviews and the reviews were correct! The food was... great. We had the chimichangas and .... so good. The cheese dip was great and the place was clean. Would have been 5 stars ifthe service had been better. The service started out great and then our server just disappeared. I waited for a long while fora refill on my tea, another table got tired of waiting and went to get more chips themselves. They came back with chips andsaid our waited was in the front visiting with someone. Not good. But the food was so good, I'm gonna just hope this was anisolated incident and go with 4 stars. The food at this restaurant was great and worth the wait, although the time we went without a waiter/waitress to take our drink... orders and give us chips was a little longer than expected. Other than that the staff was polite and, the environment wasgreat. I would say that it is the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Read more

I'm from Texas and I'm visiting, this place is incredible! Just wow everything was so good and the salsa is not spicy, and just... a heads up the cheese dip with meat is white cheese with chorizo- totally different but really good. Very very happy. Goodprices and service. And the tables and chairs are beautiful. Definitely a go to place! Read more

Food was delicious! Service was very good. The only exception was not getting dirty dishes right away.
