First time ever at mellow mushroom and if i could leave no stars i would. Our order was completely forgotten about, i went... inside to ask if we can just get it to go after waiting an hour and a half and the order was not even put in yet. The waitressdid not even tell us her name nor ask if we needed refills or if our baby needed a booster seat. By far the worse service myfamily and I have ever received at any dinning establishment. Cool place. Like most restaurants nowadays. It felt shortstaffed. Food was exactly what I was expecting. It's a hippie pizza... place right next to campus...above average food, cold beer, variety of food and drink...if you choose to eat at a place calledthe mellow mushroom you will find what you want. It's okay if you have time and patience. I strongly dislike when I order something and I'm brought heavily altered rendition of... what I ordered because they are out of ingredients to prepare that specific dish and this location is notorious for that. Iwould appreciate more to be told that ingredients are out and order something else, than to be brought something and given anattitude because I acknowledge that it's not what I ordered (and theoretically less than what I'm paying for). I go here to benostalgic and it's not far from my house, so it's partly my own fault at this point. Read more
I usually don?t do reviews but my experience was horrible. They sat me and my wife down to a poorly bussed table then I had to... ask to get my order took after waiting almost 15 minutes had to walk and get my refill myself after trying to get the attentionfrom any of the employees. The waitress never checked on us after the food was brought and not only took forever to give us ourcheck after after we ate. But the the food was great 8/10 but the service was trash 2/10. Read more
Handed menus when we walked in the door and told to seat ourselves. Wasn?t busy just a couple of tables but took forever to... order. When she finally did come to our table we ordered drinks, salad, and pizza. Got our food and the pizza was under done,the salad was just big chunks of lettuce, and not hot. Semi warm at best. Tried several times to get the waitress to come andgive us our ticket but she was just too busy talking to the guys at the bar. Working on a tip or a date for later. I would NOTrecommend to any one. Creative pizza places can be hit or miss, but this place was great. Good topping combos, excellent crust (like a sour dough... garlic knot?) and good drinks selection. Helpful staff. Patio was dog friendly. Read more
I love mellow, but lately the service at Old Shell hasn?t been that great. A previous time a few weeks ago, there was hair in... the pizza twice: the first pizza, and then again in the new one to make up for the first one. And this time, the club sandwichwas missing avocado and olives (no photo as it was my friend?s). Plus, I added chicken to my Greek salad which was an up chargeof $4, but it seemed to be about 2 ounces worth. About 1/4 of palm size (posted pic of salad).
