I'm from Florida and was traveling to Alabama for the first time and wanted to try the local food. I was pleasantly surprised.... The food was savory and delicious! I had the grilled veggies on a soft shell taco and La Pura Vida, which is a grilled veggieburrito, with guacamole, black beans, Spanish rice, Pico de Gallo & Monterey Jack topped w/ Chimichurri. It was bursting withflavor and a pretty big portion. I ended up eating the burrito with a fork. We were greeted at the door and everyone wasextremely friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. We sat outside, as it was a nice day. I highlyrecommend Roosters and would definitely go back for more! Read more

I really am confused about this restaurant. Latin food? Presentation is outstanding! The taste is nonexistent? No salt or any... spices that we could detect! Shocked that food so lovely was devoid of flavor. I really don?t understand why not one cook wasLatino either!?! Strange, I think that this restaurant could be so much better. Service was outstanding and I just wish the foodwas better. Read more

Food is good and the service was great. A little too much pickled onion for me but the Queso Fundido and chips was amazing!

So my family and I stopped here on our summer road trip and the food was absolutely amazing. The margaritas were just as tasty.... My husband had to personally thank the chef and let him know how flavorful the food was. The jurk chicken was the best but thechicken and pork was delicious too. Read more

Super cool place right on the street. The food is *chef's kiss* AMAZING. I had the biggest burrito I've ever seen, stuffed with... barbacoa and fresh gulf shrimp, then smothered in chorizo sauce and pico de gallo. The front of house staff circulated togetherthe whole time, so we never had to wait very long for anything, even at peak dinner hours. I really hope we can visit againbefore we leave town! Read more

Another great place to visit in downtown Mobile...casual and cool, with a wonderful selection of Latin American and Caribbean... dishes. The El Toro burrito had some of the best barbacoa I've ever eaten! Outdoor and indoor seating, friendly waitstaff, andfresh ingredients = a winning combination! Read more

Roosters Latin American Food was a nice downtown option for $$ dining in Mobile. Our server was very friendly and checked on us... often, and the burritos we purchased (El Toro & Hen House) were very fresh and tasty, and the Chicken Tortilla soup cup w/freshavocado was pretty good as well. There is also outdoor seating offered as well as indoor. The restaurant was clean and servicewas very reasonable in the timing. I was surprised they do not give complimentary chips and dips, and no sides w/the burritos atthe 11 and 13 dollar prices point respectively, but still over all a good experience. A very different Latin Americanexperience from what I am used to, and I don?t have a comparison point for the city of Mobile, but I liked the decorations, service and food so definitely 4/5 stars!
