Took much longer than normal to get the food. Several people standing and waiting as the people in the back carried on laughing... and joking. The chicken sandwich was still pink on the inside. They wanted to persuade me that the chicken was done. No napkinsin the bin. No utensils in the bin. Had to ask for these items and they made me wait for them in order to take 2 more ordersbefore they gave them to me. Just in time to eat my Luke warm food. Always consistent no matter where you go.

Easy access from both I-40 east and west bound and US 60,as a part of the TA Travel Center. Employees here are courteous,... friendly and professional. Food is served hot fresh and almost before you finish paying for it. We had been to Mooresville and on our return, we stopped at the Popeyes in Mocksville. If we had known before exiting that it... was attached to a TA truck stop, I would have vetoed. I never again want to hear that shower stall #23 is available withoutwaiting. BUT this was a sprawling building and the Popeyes was on the end and had its own entrance and bathrooms, which werevery clean. They have a big dining area by their counter and another huge dining area that separates them from the truck stop. We had drinks in the car so we got our food to go. Two classic chicken sandwiches and 5 tenders, no drinks or sides, cost$20.04. Pricey? Mmmmaybe. Delicious? Absolutely! The pictures show a thick juicy, whole breast. Not tenderloins, not half abreast and certainly not a mashed or preformed patty. The breading is crunchy and flavorful but you can see how thick the meatis in comparison. The tenders seem to have been pounded very thin but they were still good. The counter person was extremelypatient with all the questions being posed by everyone. The menu board was on a rotation of items so it was difficult toremember what came with what. It was 2:30 and we had to wait for the sandwiches but they were fresh and hot. One little oldlady seemed ready to rumble when a man got his food ahead of her. She literally said, ?What? You think it?s your birthday?!? Thecounter person quickly pointed out that he had ordered what they had a supply of and the man was nice enough to just smile. Situation diffused. Sheesh people. Anyway, they have a very nice outside seating area on the Popeyes end, far from the buildingand away from the parking lot. They also have a fenced in pet exercise area, which I?ve never seen at a restaurant. I doubtwe?ll be in this area again, but if we were, I would return.
