Went into restaurant drive in was 1 mile long. Ordered double chicken avacado salad and a double chicken nachos. Didn't get my... nachos ended up with a plain chicken salad. The register was out of paper so she said she couldn't give me a receipt duh! Arethey not trained to load the paper? I believe I was over charged but without receipt I couldn't prove it. I love their chicken. Hadn't been in for about 6 months but today I hust bought I chicken, bean burrito and the chicken was way... overcooked. But what really disappointed me was the guacamole sauce. It was awful. Watered down green sauce is all it was. Didnot resemble guacamole sauce. For a moment I thought I was in New York City. Awful. What's going on Pollo Loco are trying to cutcorners? Love the new pollo fit bowl served with savory cauliflower rice, yum! One of the only places I know where you can sub for... meatless option without up charge. I also like that they use a variety of lettuces for salad and give you a creamy cilantrodressing or vinaigrette option. You have to remember to ask for any additional salsas thou otherwise you get none, one, or haveto drive back. I did download their app and seem to provide a great selection of coupons, a free chips and guac, and a nicerewards system. I can always count on Pollo Loco for fit options, as long as I skip the chips and dips. Read more
The last time I visited to El Pollo Loco was abysmal. (See my review El Polo Loco on Countryside Dr Turlock) Tonight was... redemption. There street tacos were delicious and the service was excellent. We used a coupon to try their new street tacosplate. Two tacos with rice and beans. We got the Elote Taco and the Avocado taco. They were bomb! The rice and beans were atasty side dish, after we doctored them with cilantro, lime, and salsa. Originally the rice was a skimpy amount (See picture)and as I was finishing at the salsa bar the young lady at the counter gave me an additional cup of rice. She identified theshort coming and took the initiative to correct it. Great Job! There were several employees on shift (11) the facilities wereas clean as to be expected. So edit to previous review. Reached out to the actual store location and they were very helpful. They did apologize for the... mistake and offered to rmake it, however would be unable to have it deliverer. Advised me to call the customer support line. Thecustomer support line isn't able to do more then 25% of the meal cost back which is sad compared to what the meal cost. They areescalating but it will take 1-2 business for an email response. Would honestly have preferred if they had just remade it rightand sent it back out. Read more
