On rock like sqWeekend does not have full menu. Got two breakfast sandwiches one with bacon and one with sausage. Biscuits... burned and hard, sausage overdone, potatoes browned to little square rocks. Needless to say first and last time there. Shared a tri-tip sandwich and garlic fries with my GF after enjoying graffiti car show activities and was impressed with the... quality of both items. Nice quantity of meat on a nice toasted bread served with bbq sauce on the side. The fries were goldenbrown and garlicky but not overwhelming. Enjoyed sitting inside and eyeballing the assorted meats and sausages in the case.Service was quick and friendly and adequately priced. Read more
This is probably One of the best places to go in Modesto for cuts of meat but their sandwiches are next level. The brisket... sandwich melts in your mouth and all the burgers are top-notch. Amazing food! They offer a variety of sandwiches, meat, and bbq. If you order anything I highly recommend getting their fries as... a side. They cook them in beef tallow and have the best seasoning. Their menu is slightly different on the weekends. Make sureto come in early to get meats before they sell out. First off when a customer walks through the door all shop talk needs to stop and the customer needs to be acknowledged. Took a... bit for someone to say hello. After the lady with the black hair stopped talking, she treated me as if I was inconveniencingher. Her personality was very abrupt and rude! I asked her if cheese comes on the sandwich and she flat said NO (end ofsentence). She didn’t follow up with that they offer it but charge extra. I had to ask if I could get cheese? Her demeanorthis whole time was very off putting and I really should have just walked out. She rang up the order and didn’t ask if Iwanted anything to drink. I had to ask her. Everyone else I had interacted with treated me professionally. What’sdisappointing is that I really enjoyed the food. Even though they charged me 1.50 for cheese and didn’t put it on. Staff very friendly, food is dry ,dry ,dry ,oh by the way did I mention dry! We had the bbq pork sandwich ,my bbq sandwich came... with zero bbq sauce gave it to our dog. My son got the bbq chicken sandwich and I asked him how was it "horrible mom horrible ".Not to mention my son is easily pleased. I got the hot pastrami and the bread was so greasy I couldn't take more then one bite.Sad because the staff was really sweet but the bbq was disappointing at best. Read more
