Had lunch there. I get it if you're busy, all you had to do was communicate that the wait would be awhile. Then we could decide... whether to stay or not. Finally got some water. Then no order taken for about 20 minutes. The salmon salad was $22.00, and Icould barely find the little clumps of salmon. Literally looked like pinched pieces of meat. Had pinched little pieces ofsalmon. I did get lot of lettuce. Yippee! The sandwiches that were served, the bread was thicker than what came on sandwich. Had to ask twice for silverware. What is this place doing tucked in this back part of a strip mall in Modesto. Honestly wasn't expecting much but good service,... good food and pretty darn good wine list. Always a nice experience at Verona's. I usually get the eggplant parmesan or the Margherita pizza but the other night since... there was a special with risotto I asked for a mushroom risotto. A bit different from the actual special but since I'mvegetarian I needed some adjustment. It was spectacular. My dining buddy had the halibut. He said it was awesome. I thoughtbread was typically brought to the table but maybe I'm wrong. It's been about 6 months since my last visit and when I usually goit's with a bunch of other people and we get a ton of appetizers and drinks. We were a bit more conservative. Read more
Took my mother here in 2022 for Mother's Day. Had a delicious salmon and veal plate. Bruschetta to start. Drinks and great... service. Cozy atmosphere and prices weren't too bad. Located in Modesto, CA. Read more

My wife and I really enjoyed dining here. The food is what I would call high end Italian. A little bit pricey but worth it.
