Our food and margaritas were fantastic! Unfortunately, our server spent the entirety of our visit on the phone -- even when... speaking to us at the table! They parked at the host stand talking through ear buds and forgot about taking our meal order forabout 10 minutes. When we were finally able to place our order, the food did come out fast, and was DELICIOUS. Another serverwho came in on a later shift was much more attentive to her tables. I'm not sure what happened because we usually get such greatservice here! We'll definitely be back, but hope that our server at least pauses her conversation with friends on the phone whenshe's at the table with us. Read more
Went here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, we ordered to take out, we did not dine in, Beef tacos had no seasoning on the meat... what?s so ever , the chicken burrito was filled with so much shredded chicken and on one side of the burrito was filled withguacamole. The beef torta was the same as the tacos, no flavor and the bread tasted as if it?s almost going to go bad. Verydisappointed since we spent $60. Salsa was not spicy what?s so ever. So this is the new version of the Old Western Avenue place that was in Blue Island for years. They moved into in the hinterlands... of Mokena a few years back. Tried my favorite that I would always order the Pollo Estrella, and it was a bit of a let down....Iguess you can't recreate what you remember from your youth.... Read more
I was highly disappointed with the margarita which was bland and didn?t taste of any alcohol. The food was ok but not as grand... as all the Reviews made it out to be . It?s not the worse meal I?ve ever had but definitely not as hype as the reviews make itseem. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends and stay away from the mini burrito. Read more
Stopped here for lunch today I would definitely not recommend this restaurant although I did enjoy the old Blue Island... restaurant this one is much to be desired. Arrived 11:30 a.m. ordered lunch and appetizers they forgot the appetizers the foodwas cold and everything ran together. I we were kind of disappointed and the service was really so so seemed like they were moreinto their phone apps then customer service they provided! For this being a Mexican style restaurant the table settings we'remore like you were in a mess hall instead of a restaurant. Very disappointing again we're not returning. Read more
