Came into the area for a wedding and was looking on Google for nearby spots to eat. Bowsers popped up in the first couple... results and from the reviews and pictures it looked great. Bowser's has always been a great place to go....not just for the food, but the people and atmosphere. Every visit makes you... always want to return. Unfortunately, tonight was completely different. It wasn't a busy night, but after sitting at a table for15 minutes, someone finally acknowledges the table. The order is placed at the same time as the drink order.....still sittingand waiting additional time, which is very unusual as again, the people and atmosphere makes Bowser's great. Order comes andit's not completely correct, but the server is kind enough to fix it as well as take the request for something to drink (sincethe first request was never brought). Time to eat and the food is good but still time goes by without acknowledging the table.It's sad that the visit ends with someone trying to rush the payment since it's time to close the location. It is with sincerehope that the next visit is the way that Bowser's is known for ....kindness, fantastic food, great atmosphere, and friendlypeople who care about their customers!! Read more
We have been loyal customers for years however over the last year we have seen the quality and quantity of our go to breaded... chicken salads go down and the price go up. $19 for a breaded chicken salad that has what is equivalent to 2 chicken tendersleaves me feeling completely ripped off and taken advantage of. After tip we spent $57 for two salads which is just completelyunreasonable. Read more
Yes it takes a little time to get your food, but it?s worth the wait. The brisket was butter soft and juicy , the pulled pork... was moist and just slightly spicy sweet. (Neither one really needed any sauce). The dusted fries are crispy and delicious(especially with the home made tasting ranch) Don?t forget to try the smoked banana pudding! Amazing find for out of town visitors for true Pittsburgh flavor and sandwiches! Smoked meat is perfect, especially the burgers.... Sandwich style with fries, chicken, and slaw seasoned better than any place. Nice staff make this local gem a place to come backto. Highly recommend! Read more
Delicious food, lots of options, and great service. The staff was pleasant and attentive, plus our orders came our really fast.... They have draft root beer! All the sides were good but my husband loved the pimento Mac n? cheese and I loved the fries - theyhad a brown sugar/Cajun dusting on them and were a super fluffy/crispy hand cut style. Usually hand cut fries are dense and oily- they must soak the starch out or have a special technique. Anyway, great spot! Read more
