A truly amazing evening full of culinary amazement and delight. There was a lovely atmosphere here, which I would describe as... laid back but dynamic. A nice soundtrack was playing, not the elevator music bore one might expect and the host was concise yetknowledgeable and passionate. It was a little dark but that just added to the intimacy. All the dishes were perfectlybalanced and paired with a lovely diverse selection of wines. There is only one dish out of the entire course that wasn'tpaired as well, but still managed to create interest. Having certain intolerances, they catered to my needs perfectly, swappingingredients while maintaining that perfect balance of color, textures and flavors. It was extremely pleasing to see that Ididn't inconvenience them, but rather challenged them to come up with alternatives that, I could easily tell, they werepassionate about. They really care about the food. They also care about where the food comes from, you can expect a widevariety of some of the best local products! So as far as taste and texture balance, color and presentation, and the amount ofconsideration that went into every dish, I can say without a doubt that this is by far the best dining experience in the region. It does not only compete with local fine dining restaurants but far beyond. An easy five star here. Anyone would benefitgreatly from dining here at least once. This will easily become a favourite of ours. Read more

10x more expensive than Pizza Delight, and at least 100x better. An incredible value. If you're looking for big portions, a 50... item menu featuring 7 different cheesecakes, or a 'bloomin' onion' don't go here. It's as simple as that. If you want to betaken in an hours-long culinary adventure with finely-curated twists and turns, you'd love it. Read more

We could not eat two of the courses, one was way too salty to enjoy. The other was a piece of halibut served raw for my wife and... cooked for me, we had to return the raw one and got offered a cocktail. For the price we paid for two (~450$), these mistakesare simply unexcusable. If you want a better dining experience for a fraction of the price, consider trying Clos. Read more

Black Rabbit is fantastic! I have been to the restaurant at least once a month for over seven months now, sometimes even... multiple times a month if they change their menu. They have a great team that is super friendly and genuinely interested inmaking the experience a great one. The team all work together collaboratively to make the menu and flavors work together, and assomeone who has been to other fine dining restaurants in the city, I think that goes a long way in making the food better! Iusually get the wine tasting paired with the food, and Alfred is typically great at pairing the wines with the food, and if youhave a question about the wine, he knows everything about it, which is nice. You usually get a range of mixtures between red, white, champagne, dry, sweet, or a mix of the two. It’s never dull. The restaurant is small, but the atmosphere is unique. The lighting is always perfect, not too bright, and the music is relaxing and not too loud. If you wanted to try fine dining forthe first time with family or as a first date, or even if you wanted to go alone and sit at the bar, this would be a great placeto go! Read more

Michelle and I had an opportunity to go to Black Rabbit last week for the Moncton Eats event. Although the conversation and... company were amazing as per usual, I was not as impressed by the restaurant. When a restaurant has been nominated for the AirCanada list of new Canadian restaurants, there is a certain bar that needs to be achieved. I have been to many of theserestaurants across Canada and they take dining to a new level. My first disappointment was the fact that the cocktail menuconsisted of only two options, and one was not available. When I asked if they were able to create something whiskey-based, Iwas told no. I elected to take the suggestion of a melon drink, and although the flavour was refreshing, it was most definitelya summer drink. The wine was good as would be expected and as traditional in a lot of local higher-end restaurants. The nextdisappointment was that there was only one vegetarian dish on the menu, and it was a plate of $20 carrots served cold. Despitethis, the server suggested that the kitchen could possibly make something off their upcoming vegan menu. Thankfully, there was abeet ravioli dish that served the purpose. My short rib dish was very good — fell off the bone, rich in flavour, and nogristle. Whereas my short rib was served warm, the ravioli were served less than warm. We elected to go for a pint instead oftrying the dessert. There is a possibility that we chose a night where the organization wasn’t where it needed to be with amenu transition and a new vegan menu being prepared. However, if a restaurant is going to have a transitioning menu, that meansthere cannot be a “down” night. The cocktail menu also needs to be seasonal and have somewhat varied options for people whowant something more than an old fashion. Read more
