So I didn’t understand the hype of going to the Keg for a $40-$50 steak, but honestly once I took the first bite of my Top... Sirloin I understood everything. It was so tender and almost melted in my mouth, seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sidedishes were also delicious, especially the double baked potato, although the veggies were not very hot when they arrived. Theice cream cake is an absolute gem and very refreshing after a very big meal. I definitely will be back for more. Service was good even though they were understaffed and a bit slow. Make sure you make a reservation or it's going to me a long... wait. Place got a bit too crowded and loud as we were sit next to a large party. Food was ok to good. Not sure what it was,maybe it was a bad cut or I've been to a tons of other steak house since (first time to Keg since covid), but the prime rib wasnot very memorable and mad me search for another steak the next day. The bacon/scallop was smaller than I remember, but that'sjust a supply chain issue and the baked brie was excellent! I would visit this place again, but probably won't get the primerib. Read more
Great steak but as expected at the price point. I ordered from the holiday special menu which was pricey but they cooked it... perfectly and seasoned it well. The vegetable gnocchi side was good but not worth the extra $4 - will stick with veggies orpotatoes next time. Good portions on the appetizers. Had dinner tonight at The Keg and it was fantastic! My first time at a chain restaurant streak house and I was blown away. Our... server Erika was phenomenal, very personable, fun, quick, and friendly. Both my partner and I grabbed a glass of wine, and asteak each (Fillet and New York) and they were cooked to perfection. Wonderful experience, our waitress only spoke English but I noticed the majority were bilingual which I highly appreciate and... she was also quite friendly, also well appreciated. The food was fantastic, definitely on the pricey side but well worth it onspecial occasions. I would recommend trying to go on a day where weather isn't too warm as the AC unit is not very good and itis quite warm inside (we asked, AC was set at maximum power) Our meals were identical, we both had 8oz top sirloin steaks whichcame with garlic mashed potatoes and we added some onions and mushrooms on a side plate. Had a lovely dinner here with my hubby. First time dining indoors since COVID hit. Service. Was excellent. Food was outstanding!
