My BFF just had her wedding of 50 guests at the Breakwater and I cannot say enough good things about Hollywood, the owner. and... his team of accommodating staff! The party room was elegantly decorated, the food was delicious, the cocktails fabulous and thebathrooms spotless. The best part was the stellar service and attention to detail by staff. As the maid of honor I utilizedtheir wifi to stream a playlist through their blue tooth and we could skip the expense of a DJ. We went on a Thursday night after a school football game around 7pm. Menu limited to sandwiches, wraps and salad. Homemade fries... were outstanding! Everything was great except the grilled cheese. It was supposed to have cream cheese +. I could see thatthere was something white spread on one side of the bread, but it was overpowered by the American cheese to have any taste.Aside from that, it was toasted in butter to perfection. The wrap was gone before I saw it but the person said it was awesome.The pulled pork sandwich had BBQ sauce that was great! We will have to try it when the dinning room is open next time. Read more
Pared down menu which equaled a flavorful meal and amazing service! Crisp, golden french fries with a very delicious pork Sammy,... the fresh coleslaw made my meal so enjoyable. We come for the views and stay for the jambalaya and drinks. This is an awesome place to relax with some drinks and wave to the... boaters as they putter by. The rooftop and patio/deck are one of our favorite in the area! With a small food menu they ensureeverything is quality and delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. went here about a week ago, it was busy so my group and I were patient (at first) but we spent over 3 hours here. when we... arrived our waiter said the kitchen was backed up and they couldn?t take orders yet (we had a reservation but understood theywere busy and likely understaffed) so we waited. Other tables were getting their orders taken, and the table next to us who camein an hour after we did got to order before us. After we finally ordered, it took another 45-an hour for the apps, then the foodabout 45 minutes after that. At first we thought oh they are just very backed up and this waiter is overwhelmed. That was untilwe sat for 30 minutes after finishing our food waiting for the check in the dark outside. Everyone inside was getting served,and our waiter was reconciling his tips. I had to go inside to get him so we could get our check and finally leave. The food wasgood, so that?s why I?m not leaving 1 star. I just have no idea how someone could be this slow with service and not evenapologize about it or try to act with a sense of urgency. My friends and I stopped by to hang out on the deck over looking the water and enjoyed several appetizers. We did the truffle... fries, cheese curds, spinach artichoke dip, and wings. Nice views and great food. I ordered the hoagie and sweet potato fries. I also ordered the cheese curds. Food came out fast. The... hoagie was delicious. Highly recommend getting it if you stop by. It was crispy and very flavorful. The aoli sauce had greatflavor. Huge servings too. Drinks are yummy. Views are beautiful from the deck. I recommend sitting outside on a nice day.
