Got refused service 5 min before open by a barista smoking outside when a customer was already inside enjoying their coffee... served by one of the 2-3 other employees. I frequent this location and always tip well. Such a shame to see the lack ofappreciation for customers willing to pay for $7 lattes. Normally such a wonderful place but the new cafe opening up across thestreet will get my business in the future. Read more
Very clean & inviting atmosphere, pleasant staff as always, coffee and pastries always fresh, sandwiches are excellent for lunch... with a delicious coffee or tea (Cold). They offer many books to read from their mini library which lets you enjoy coffee whilereading a decent book. A game of Chess anyone? Read more
Our favorite Sunday place. We live down the road a ways and sometimes debate whether it?s worth the drive, but always conclude... it is. The coffee is great (you get what you pay for in size and flavor,) the bagels are arguably the best around, and thestaff-while usually very busy, is very nice. This coffee shop is a gem! Not only because of the fun and unique drinks (along with the regular stuff), but also because of the... food! It has a full menu of delicious options from breakfast to lunch. I have not had something I didn't like yet. It is also alocal business so when I am buying I feel even better for giving back to the community. There is outdoor seating and indoor,along with a bathroom for patrons. Kids are welcome, the atmosphere is always friendly and it has a lovely staff willing toanswer any questions. Definitely a little piece of Stepney you should visit and enjoy for yourself! Read more
