Very mediocre diner wirh mediocre food. Ordered a grill cheese -- the cheese wasn't completely melted and the cheese was... hanging off the side of the bread. The corned beef sandwich was tough and dry. The soup was room temp. The decor is veryoutdated, 1980's style. Not surprised that there was hardly anyone in the diner for a late lunch. Huge menu but don't miss the Specials. The serving sizes are large --save room for dessert...you'll notice a display case... FILLED with delicious cakes as you walk in. Our servers have always been freindly and helpful. Clean, great service, tastyfood. Read more
*Not Recommend* *Dirty Cups* *Terrible Service with no Personality* *Terrible Management* *One of the waters tasted like... chemicals* *FOOD was COLD!* We came here for a lat brunch and we regret it! I took a picture of the water that tasted likechemicals next to the other cup that tasted fine, maybe the dishwasher didn't clean the soap all the way off or something? theedges were barely warm, the Gravy was cold and not even warm at all it literally tasted like they took it out of a refrigeratorand put it on room temperature biscuits. The eggs were barely even room temperature. The potatoes were actually hot. This placeis disgusting and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who enjoys good fresh food or good service. We were on a long trip to the Monroe Area for my son's wedding. We were all tired, hungry, and uncomfortably warm due to the... heat. The atmosphere of the facility was great! Nice and cool. And the staff were very friendly to us. We were greeted verywarmly... no pun intended... when we arrived. We were a large group so they had to look for a special way to see this. There wasno indication on their part that it was an annoyance but that they were very glad to have us there. Both the service we had werevery professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were visiting from different places... Connecticut connecticut, Southcarolina, New York city, etc. Food was great. I would highly recommend this Diner! Read more
So, I dropped my kid to work and I was hungry. Decided to stop in for breakfast and from the door I should have just left. There... was a gentleman having a conversation with someone and he looked up about two minutes in and asked if I was staying or to go.Decided to sit. Big mistake. My waitress was talking to "the new girl". My waitress was sharing her frustration often and loudlyabout the night people not stocking out the side stations. She offered me coffee in between complaints and never even actuallycame to the table to take my order. She took it from behind the counter where was standing. The food comes out but she now hasto hurry away because her regulars are fresh in from...somewhere. The food was just okay but I didn't expect a gourmet meal.Had enough. Time to pay and get out of Dodge. Dude was on the phone took the receipt showed me where to put my card, and thatwas pretty much it. No how was it or anything. Not going back. This was a last-minute decision to get something to eat. We decided to go to this diner. The portions were good, and the food... tasted great. The staff was amicable and attentive to our needs and wants. The waitress did mess up the order hence the fourstars, not 5. But considering I am an easy-going person didn't make a big deal of it.
